Are Jagex *really* so dim that they imagine that penguine hunting clans will continue to cover the wildy penguins just so that griefers can get their lulz? Do they honestly think that any more than a handful of people will be sooo desperate to tick off all 10 pengs that they'll spend probably upwards of an hour searching for a peng that'll give them as much exp as they could have got from 5 mins of skilling?
Nice to know they think we're thick as well as expendable.
Wildy penguins are dead content from Feb 1st.

The really ironic thing is this appears in the "Community Home" section of the forums.
You know what People...we may not matter to Jagex (except as fodder for some Others' subset style of play that isnt our own chosen one)...but it is clear how much we matter to each other. We obviously arent seen as a Community worth supporting by the 'Powers that be' but again...we are the only proof that matters as to what the True meaning of Community is. Maybe those 'Powers that be' will reach for a dictionary.
Now i do come from one Group associated with Penguins but this again shows that Community is a much broader term than that. I have seen and read many posters on many threads that not only represent different groups but also have been moved to post for the first time about Penguins and indeed to post on supposed Rival Groups threads. Seems that many object to having their chosen gameplay experience negatively impacted upon...oh and that they seem to not like the fact that they are willingly being offered up to enable certain others within an otherwise Honourable Pking Community to enjoy their chosen way of experiencing Runescape. Funny that.

What a thoughtless comment :(
Of course I realize you are leaving the wilderness penguins for PKers to have something to do but must you slap the penguin hunting community in the face like that?
For the most part the penguin hunting community is a silent bunch merrily going on about their business helping each other, not just find penguins but in many other aspects of the game. Building friendships and making a community of cooperative players is a big part of it.
There is no reason to so blatantly remind us that you are trying to make us bait for bored PKers.
I find it highly ironic that this is in the Community Home forums.

Sorry, but this thread was very generalized and very biased. I mean, if you're going to at least talk about issues like Wilderness/Free Trade you need to talk about their implications as well, not just make them sound all epic and that everyone will enjoy it. Better yet, don't talk about them at all...

It is indeed good to see the clan community benefiting from this update, however, I figure that a lot more old PvP clans will return to dominate the wildy more.
However, again, you looked at only one side of it. What about Penguin Hunters (The guys who trap/catch penguins?) They will be negatively effected by the update. Why not interview them?
If you want to take the newsletter into a more opinionated route, then you will need to display both sides of the table, otherwise people will be upset.
As for Who the Zamorak, no idea actually. ;_;

Yeah, suddenly I feel like I am the criminal for supporting Jagex in the first place when these changes were first put out 3 years ago.
It's quite fascinating to see how they've treated their most loyal players and we stood right infront of them when this update took place a mere 3 years ago, now it feels like we've been backstabbed.
However, it won't matter, I still do look forward to some of the changes, but overall not impressed with how Jagex, especially Community Manangement, handled the issue.

I just feel stupid to have supported the company I though was all for emergent game play and opportunities by paying for two extra accounts for several years after they were not actively used any more.

To Jagex -I believe you are running a business?
If that is the case then as a law abiding client of your company who is an active member of the distractions and diversions community, I expect my views and methods of using your product to be respected. Two of your employed Jagex moderators have failed in their obligation to do this with this post. As a client of your company I feel your reputation and my relationship with your company have been damaged severely.

I am recently aware of a company who sacked an IT employee for discussing the merits of Mac and Pc based systems in front of a client who had purchased a particular system, reason for sacking damaging company client relations...............
What as a company will you do to rectify this situation as any other IT company would do?
I am not suggesting a sacking in this situation but an apology would be a start.
