Actually, what is shaping the game now and for years to come is Jagex's unspeakable arrogance and pre-adolescent concept of community and team play.
"So this update is going to bring joy to a wide variety of players, not just PKers slaying helpless penguin hunters."
I nominate timbo and cathy as poster children for Self Indulgent Client Killers (SICK), an up an coming new clan.

Good to know how u really feel about us... and am in total agreement with members of the 'penguin' community responses to your unfeeling and frankly stupid comment about penguin hunters.
Yes I am a member of the penguin community but it wasn't that which brought me to RS in the first place, it was the whole content of the game and that the company seemed truly honest in it's effort to create as much fun for so many different kinds of players. Like many others I stood by Jagex and supported its efforts to make compromises and changes to game content that took into account the many diverse interests and safety of all its players. Sad to know that at least some of the J mods don't feel the same way about us. Bait for pkers am I ... not likely!
So there is great excitement and old clans making a come back? Gratz Jagex hope the trade off is worth it... personally I wonder about the loyalty of those phantom accounts that made the 'vote' so overwhelming because I know for a fact that the loyalty of lots of other long term and active memberships has just been tossed away and I can't help but think Jagex doesn't care one little bit.

The players here who have demanded to preserve the content they have enjoyed for the past years are the very same players who kept this company afloat when 95% of the pkers rage quit after the removal of the Wild.
We may not have liked the changes made then, but adapted and accepted the new content added to the game which largely changed the playing style of the majority.
We are those same players who are now being disregarded to favour those who rage-quit.
Money talks, Jagex, and after all these years, mine finally told you to go to hell.
I don't want any part of this adolescent BS your company now promotes, and I won't be back.

His Fails, I agree the 'real' PKers did have honour, the penguin hunters and trappers are going to be hand fed to the horrible disgusting little griefers who are too cowardly to fight against someone who is prepared to fight back. Jagex, you have truly disappointed me with your insensitivity.
