I have been keeping track of this game about 1-2 years before the new wildy was introduced until now. I know the features they offer for members.
Let me ask this. Why not move all the stuff that is not related to "dangerous" PvP within the wildy to the non-wildy area(including treasure trail and abbys)? After all, wouldn't all existance of the powerful weapons, armour and potions would justify for doing this?
If you want to bring the wildy back just for the thrill of fighting other players in uncertainty, you can start proving by supporting the idea of moving the stuff that I meantioned. If you don't support, it's just a clear evidence that you just want the ability to kill random players in the wildy eventhough they don't want to kill any players there. After all, it would make pking more lucrative if you can do that. *** everyone wants to be hunted. Maybe only suicidal person is willing to take the role of the prey. In a way, that sounds like a waste of time to do.
I do not believe the return of the old wildy will make the treasure trail worth doing at all anymore if the reward system stay. This is just an example of the many other downsides it may bring.

Donnychong,
What's most likely to happen is:
* Non-pking activities that were in the wildy *before* the old wildy was abolished will remain in the wildy.
* Non-pking activities that were placed in the wildy *after* the old wildy was abolished will be moved out of the wildy.
However, here is the official Jagex word on this, from the Wilderness and Free Trade Referendum page (before the voting closed):
Wilderness:
* The Wilderness becomes a rather dangerous area again and players can kill each other for their items
* PVP, Bounty and Bounty +1 Worlds removed (game mechanics may be re-used in the future)
* New objects that affect combat will be analysed on an individual basis
* Gravestones will still be used outside of the Wilderness
* Various PVP items and gear will still be available and won’t become 'rares'
* Revenants patrolling the Wilderness will be relocated
* Content located in the Wilderness will be reviewed as follows:
o Quests (e.g. Spirit of Summer) and Activities (e.g. Clan Wars) will be relocated
o Other content (e.g. Treasure Trails, the Beacon Network and D&Ds) will be looked at on a case-by-case basis

Don't you agree with me that this rule is VERY stupid?
After the update you CAN give your friends 20m gold, but you CANT give your own account 20m gold?????????????
And how can Jagex see the difference between goldfarmers and friends, ''JAGEX JUST CAN NUFF SAID''
I want to know HOW.
I want a moderator comment on my question, because this is making me angry.
Its so unclear and unnecary, all these little rules that make it impossible to start new accounts.,,

No, it's not just some "little rule." It's what (in theory) keeps someone with several bot accounts from transferring all the loot they generate to their main account.
It has always been the rule since I started at least, and really it's just common sense. One could just as easily argue that they should be able to transfer experience points from one account to another.
It discourages (again, in theory) people from cluttering up Jagex servers with tons of accounts that then have to be maintained.
As someone said recently the point of playing is to improve your standing in terms of levels and wealth; why dilute your achievements by spreading them over several accounts?
And Jagex isn't about to tell anyone how they can detect this, but even if they did it probably wouldn't help you avoid detection.

Aze CoLD,
Nobody's going to describe exactly how Jagex tells the difference between gold farmers and honest players because:
a) It would amount to an instruction manual for people to engage in gold farming--which is why Jagex does not allow players to post this sort of thing in the forums.
b) Jagex is not going to say how it detects bots and gold farmers since it would just help them to avoid detection.
c) It is constantly changing as gold farmers refine their methods of rule-breaking and Jagex refines its detection methods and counter-measures.
However, common sense can give you a pretty good idea.
Think of how you would operate if you wanted to help friends.
Now think of how gold farmers would operate with their network of bots. (DON'T post it here! :P )
Does your pattern of activities helping friends really look much like the pattern of activities of gold farmers with their bots and sweat shop workers?
You'll be okay if you:
* Don't transfer any money or items between any of your own accounts in any way, direct or indirect, including by drop trading, through friends, and so on.
* Don't buy or sell accounts, which is also against Jagex rules.
* Don't engage in any form of real world trading for Runescape money and items.
Yes, I have known players who have had accounts banned for doing these things.
Just don't do it.

Just saw the "I brought the Wilderness back" shirts on the Jagex store. But hey, some of us (not many, I know) actually voted against this.
Why not a shirt that says "The Wilderness came back over my dead body." ?
(Perhaps with one of the RS tombstones showing "PK'd in peace" )

Roth--
Nice idea. I'd buy one. But they probably wouldn't do it as it would point out the difference between real life and their "vote" results. Although they COULD just make the money off them and not publish the probable fact that they'd sell about as many of these as the other variety.
EDIT: Actually, on second thought I WOULDN'T buy it from Jagex, but I would buy it from a different seller.

I agree, I only know a few people that voted yes but loads that voted no.
You must be as surprised as me that only 7% voted no!!!Heard quite a few people shouting fix.
Personally I believe it is a purely commercial desision, Get old players back and make more cash, get bots back and make more cash.
I can't blame Jagex for looking at the commercial side after all it is a business, but the whole way it has been conducted doesn't look good.
Strange how the tshirts are out already. Another commercial desision (I won't be buying one)
