Fredup.
step 1:
Go to google
Step 2:
Type in google trends
Step 3:
In the search bar type in "Runescape"
Step 4:
Realise you are wrong
There is a devastatingly big drop in traffic since 07, you are wrong.
And I also proved you wrong because for and item that cost 200m back then now costs 650m.
And back then when some cool new item was released everyone went "omg a cool new item! This will get me LOADS!" And it got them 50m which back then was LOADS.
Nowadays a cool new item comes out and it skyrockets to 600m.
What does that tell you?
BTW I'm talking about divine spirit shields in case you wanted to hold me to my word, check it.

@fredup tbh i think your missing the point, dragon wasnt suggesting that runescape isnt popular he is saying that it isnt AS popular as it was before 07. the way your saying things is like he just said "ah runescape, noone plays that anymore."

This is one of my first posts on the forums in a very long time and I feel it's worth having to log on for. It's completely obvious many of you don't know how much Runescape has changed in the past 10 years. I've been a member of the Runescape Community since 2001. I will agree that it's changed a lot, but for the worse? I'd have to say I disagree with anyone that says that the game has changed for the worse. My reason is because any game that you play will change and that includes major games. Jagex is making their changes in bigger jumps because they are a browser based game and it allows them to do this.
For all the people who are talking about inflation and the direct affects of the wilderness. The prices were almost half of what they are now. That may have been because of bots, but truthfully there are way to many people for the limited amount of resources. I'm not promoting those who bot, but I'm trying to say that Jagex could introduce easier way of getting resources even if it may sacrifice some experience?
I haven't played the whole 10 years, I've been a victim of scammers, and hackers which lead to the loss of a few of my accounts entirely and sometimes just my money. For all of the times I've lost my account or money, I will agree that it's my fault and nobody elses for falling for this. I've learned from my mistakes and the only way for others to learn from their mistakes is to live it instead of trying to lock everyone's account and never being able to trade more than 10k.
Runescape was a much better community before the loss of the Wilderness, the attitudes of the players were also much better. Without the wilderness I believe that the players have to find something else to be competitive in, and now that's money and levels in the game, leaving the competition being at sites of killing monsters.
I want to conclude what I have to say by telling you that before you judge what Runescape is now, look at what it was before. VOTE YES

truth is, runescape was cooler when u had to know what u were doin to play, making it more child friendly was pathetic, who cares about some 12 year old crying over fullrune trimmed which just got lured to monks? not me, hell i was doin it an never got caught, i say if ur stupid enough to be lured, after the warnings all over, your an idiot, dont enter wild with your best gear, no matter what, unless you intend on being totally bank wiped by a guy like me, anyways, VOTE yes and stay in school

I brought runescape membership for one more month. If it isnt added back then I'm going to not renew my membership with my CC. Hope you guys are reading this Jagex. Only reason why I got membership for one more month is because of the vote. This has encouraged many players to tryout runescape again with hopes the old RS will be restored to its original state..
Cheers Jagex

Free trade and wilderness were an awsum thing back then, seriosuly ppl that get scammed, by either trade or being lured didnt get scammed because of FREE trade Or wildy THEY got scammed because they didnt check twice or think twice about it.
As for bots, maybe an option of a little screen displaying every 30mins on ur rs webpage with a safe code (like the ones on Megaupload if im not being Clear xD)to enter in order to keep on playing or u will be redirected in 5 mins, that way ppl cant afk and or bot.
