So. Reporting in on my extremely slow progress rereading the thread from where I came into it, about page 350 taking note of all the people who openly admit to cheating, either in game or for the purposes of the polls (whether supporters or opponents).
Really hard slog. I've made it to page 568 now, so about 200 pages worth of posts reviewed and 200 to go as of now.
Before listing results so far, here are my methods: I will only list page numbers. This is to force you to actually read a random sampling of other posts to give you a general feel for the gist of the arguments and their context-- a flavor for the different *tyles of supporters and opponents. You will have to play "Spot the Cheater" to find them. (but hey, it's only 12 pages; don't claim it's too much work) It is very rare that you will have to work hard to find the offender. Most are quite obvious.
I only include posts where the poster plainly admitted cheating. Not hinted at. Not possibly joked about. Not suggested others would/should. Admitted. I did NOT include MANY posts that reported first hand knowledge of cheating, like: "My friend told me he voted for me." Nor did I include posters that may have been joking. So as you can see I am being very strict and conservative.
Finally, I made every effort to search every post for admissions of cheating ON EITHER SIDE OF THE PROPOSAL. I leave it for you to discover the "Secret of the Ratio of Proponent to Opponent Cheating."
Page numbers: 363, 378, 392, 417, 426, 429, 432, 452, 470, 519, 550, 567.
And please don't try to say "see, only 12 people cheated; it's not an issue."
More instances to come. And quite possibly posts getting edited to remove admissions. But, hey... Who's gonna find this one little post telling them about my search?
Have fun discovering. And have fun trying to accuse me of lying about cheaters again.
EDIT: updated on page 879
