Here's my argument..lol. I know the wise man keeps his mouth shut, but I couldn't help it...
For Free trading:
Free trading enables players to give handouts, which I know is enjoyable, it allows for people to show their gratitude for a certain item by paying more than..10k over the market price. It allows lenders to not have to do ALL THREE HUNDRED SOME-ODD QUESTS to lend good items, and get decent revenue from them. It makes player-to-player interaction more flexible all-around, and player trading areas like Big Bank Falador, Big Bank Varrock, etc. will become anew (Plus the addition of the G.E will make it even easier).
Old Wilderness on the other hand;
Wildy brings back a nostalgia feeling for many players of old, it's much more entertaining to pk than with the new system (I.E No more stupid EP)..and to all those people out there saying "Revs will be a danger now, going to mini-games will be a danger now, killing green drags will be a danger now"...Well, listen, READ FOR ONCE. Jagex *tated that the Revs will be re-located after the patch, as well as mini-games like Clan Wars. Plus, Green Dragons was always an easy, cheap way to make money. The point is for it to be ACTUALLY DANGEROUS to make 1m per hour by sitting there with a Dwarf Multicannon.
On the other hand, botting and RWT (Which has been the main argument for this) could and probably will return, but it's not like they left. RWT still took place, although most sites were scams. Botting is still terrible in many fishing areas, wcing areas and even mining areas. Mostly in F2P, where you see many 90+ Lv 3 bots with only one skill above 30. RWT DID still take place, although it would be easier now with free trading, people used to gold farm on different accounts and pay for it, like I said, most were scam sites.
So....hmm...I'd say a lot more reasons to BRING IT BACK than to throw it away. I've had probably at least 5 old friends come back since the referendum was made official F.Y.I. That's my 2-bits...
