i didnt say its the ONLY fun thing. i simply compared Pking to skilling. skilling which seems to be the only thing going on in this game that has any competitive side but its competitive in the same way levelling is if your not going to be using it effectively. by taking away pking and free trade they have effectively put an "you have completed the game" theme into runescape and that is silly for a game with PvP potential.

Thank you clue roller, you are one of the few people who realise the whole point of the 'experienced' clue scrolls.
The whole idea is that in the hope of earning a huge amount of money in the way of a reward you are made to take a few risks and be put to the test!
It's how they were designed to be and it's how they should have stayed.

Kivin i tryed to play during the 3 years like srsly i got a membership for like 2 months and skilled, leveled, and made money, and i felt empty and it was so boring i couldnt get past the 2nd month =\, Its just missing a large aspect in the game. Sure it doesnt affect a number of players who just farmed random skill things like WCing 24/7 etc, so i dont know why those percentage that only skilled are whining because free trade will make them more money, the economy was a lot more stable back in the day with free trade. Also if you're scared of bots, report'em. Be smart and dont get lured and killed when its so obvious and easy to figure out. take your training wheels off boi! the point is Jagex cut the games limits in half when taking this stuff out so its nice they finally gave in and admited their mistake and that they could get thousands and thousands of their old players back from this update.

and also, i don't understand why every1 is worried about bots?
lets just try our best as a community to get rid of them by reporting them.
We ask jagex for more and more and more, why don't we help them out a bit and give a little more back than just 3.50 a month. JOKE!
also, how good of a player are they going to be when they get all their 99's and a little program cant play for them anymore?
the majority of botters are just clueless people who wont know how to actually use their own acc and will just die anyway/fail miserably.
so listen up, if you want some self worth in your acc, level up yourself, like me and be able to play and understand your own acc/skills.
otherwise, your just going to get banned inevitably, or just lose all your cash cos you can't actually handle the game.
these people are the real ''noobs''

Even at that, the level 3 clues weren't even really all that much of a problem back in old wildy. =P If people like ourselves could do them, then why on earth can't everyone else? Are we like some gods that have divine powers or something? No....even at that, none of us are the best players nor even close to that. I, for one, am average and if an average player can do clues in the old wild, everyone can. I totally agree with you both.
What do the babies expect the wilderness to be these days? All flowers and rainbows with buddy buddy pkers offering free sweeties to all the kiddies instead of killing people? A nice J mod to show up as they enter wilderness and hold their hand the whole time or push them around in a pram? To all the babies crying about clues, learn to level up, risk, drop items, log out when you see a white dot on map, turn auto retaliate off, stick to single combat areas, carry only a dagger, spade, clue, sextant, watch and chart and drop everything except the clue and dagger if you're attacked if you don't want to risk or simply stick with level 1 or 2 clues. If losing your precious 80k bank is that big of a deal to you, stay out of the wilderness. Simple enough solution. That concludes today's lesson on clue scrolling in the wilderness, now run along back to pre-school all you "clue scrolls in wildy are too hard." babies. Cookies, milk, finger painting and nap time await you, leave the grown ups to play the real games.
PS: I know that Dragon and Roller share this view, so the comments on the babies aren't intended for anyone else not crying about the clue scrolls in old wild.

Just realise there is content on clues for every single player, level 1 for brand new players, level 2 for intuitive players, level 3 for the braver players, elite for the experienced.
Now if you don't fit into any of those categories, which is physically impossible, then i'm afraid you have a real issue,
So heres a tissue.
Follow this short guide and there you go, your safe path.
you got what you wanted.
