Hmm... people still don't get how advantageous the original game was? Let's see what this will do for Runescape:
1) Bots will likely increase- So? They've always been around, and welcome to our old pains. But you know what? We had more fun. If a few people who choose to cheat players or choose to risk their accounts to make some money choose to try and ruin the game, let them- the benefits and fun are overpoweringly more important.
2) Scammers and Lurers! - Yeah, they'll come back since they'll have more purpose. But they taught young players like me back in the day that not everyone is gonna be who they say they are. They taught you to be on your toes and how to keep yourself safe in Runescape. You might've fallen over and scraped a knee here or there, but it made you a better player.
3) No more Upper and Lower Market Values?! - Yup, that's right. No more pampered lifestyle of simply seeing what the price range is limited to. You'll be able to find bargains or occasionally get ripped off- you either learn some or gain some in the end. No biggie. Besides, more player interaction is good for your social health.
Plus, this means the death of many-a-GE Merch Clan. They were the new scourge that caused so many prices to skyrocket. I'll be glad to see them gone.
4) Drop Traders, A hard Wildy experience, and my ability to explore the Wildy safely is ruined!! - Hah, not at all. Some worlds identify themselves as major PK worlds, and others only have a handful- exploring the wild with the threat of PKers actually made it a much more suspensful and interesting trip! Plus, if you score and kill the player, you get what you see- that's what made the Wildy feel so rewarding!
THE MAIN POINT: Yeah a few downs come with the ups. But you know what? Runescape was more /fun/ pre-2007 updates. That's why you took this game up in the first place, isn't it? To have fun? Of course it is! If players still doubt it, then you'll see soon enough. It's coming back, so enjoy what you get!
