brings at least 4-6 sharks, 3, 7, or 11 prayer potions (depending on how long you stay there for, usually 3 prayer potions per round), if you can do extreme combat pots use them but otherwise bring a super potion set. as for armor, i would recomend dragon platebody full with a dragon med helm, an obsidian cape, amulet of glory, and of coarse a ring of wealth (ROW) fully charged for both ROW and glory. a good weap i use is the abyssal whip with a dragon defender and/or my ZGS (Zamorak Godsword0, as you can freeze one of the melee brothers in their place. also bring mage gear, use what you can use is best for barrows. otherwise ill be seeing you guys there

TIP #1: HAVE ANCIENT SPELLS. The freezing ability from ice spells is absolutely necessary against the melee brothers (especially verac, as he hits through prayers), and blood spells allow for you to heal 1/4 of the damage dealt.
NOTE: Anything that can freeze the brothers is a perfectly fine replacement (such as bolas or ZGS)
(I don't recommend entangle as it does minimal damage and you can only cast 2-3 damaging spells in between, plus it's a bit of a hassle to use and takes up 3 inventory spaces, as opposed to bolas or ZGS)
TIP #2: GOOD "TANK" GEAR. It's kind of annoying when you're running through the tunnels and a skeleton hits consistent 189's through your mystic armour. It's also good for getting kc, which is necessary if you only bring a certain amount of runes and depend on the chest to supply you as you go (such as with slayer dart, mind and death runes are part of a typical loot)

1) All of the Barrows brothers (except Ahrim and Akrisae) have extremely low Magic levels. This means that any attack that is Magic-based will usually hit, even when wearing armour that drastically lowers your magic attack bonus. Hence, casting magic in actual armour is an extremely common and effective strategy, as the combination of a low Magic level and low Magic defence leaves them extremely vulnerable to Magic attack, while leaving you with good defensive stats (basically, armour that benefits casting Magic is NOT needed, Melee armour will resist most, if not all, Melee damage you take). This is the reason players casting Magic can still hit on Karil; he has a decent magic defence stat, but his Magic level is 0. The higher your Magic level, the more of a chance that you will resist magic attacks. This applies to players and NPC's.
2) Even with Protection Prayers/Curses, the special effects of the Barrows brothers will still effect you. Karil can still lower your Agility, Torag still reduces run energy, etc. This probably most applies to Ahrim. Even using Protect/Reflect Magic, he can still reduce your Strength with his set effect. Also, Protect/Reflect Magic does not protect you against his curse spells (spells that lower your stats). This is because Protect/Reflect prayers/curses prevent damage (Ahrim's Fire Wave will hit a 0, not splash). His spells with splash with proper Magic defence however, use Ranged armour to boost your Magic defence.

1. (if you have 94 magic and some decent mage gear) i.e. Ganodermic, infinity, mystic and ALWAYS a polypore staff so you can farcast and you get free blood and death runes... barrage the brothers then hit them with the polypore, they have low mage defense except for ahrim. so for ahrim just wear your mage gear and spec him with a godsword or claws then switch to a whip to finish him off.
2. For this method i go to karil first then ahrim. This way i dont have to use prayer on the other brothers. Ahrim doesn't really hit at all if youre wearing mage gear or range gear. So you can use piety or turmoil on him if you like. Since you farcast the melee brothers they dont hit and you do not need prayer for them. Thusly you heal in the tunnels but bring food in case of an emergency

I like to do Ahrim first, he/she uses spells that will significantly reduce your melee stats, making it much harder to effectively kill the next brothers, so I bring a restore potion and a super set and kill them all with no trouble.

One of the best tips I could give is one for saving your prayer.
After killing most of the brothers and getting ready to enter the hidden tomb, I have witnessed many players restore their prayer back to full before venturing inside.
Obviously, their prayer is drained, and many a time someone has ran out of prayer pots by using them all up before hand. Then when the last brother arrives, they have no prayer left.
So my simple tip would be:
Before venturing into the hidden tomb, just leave your prayer at 0 points. The monsters in there are not very high leveled so they shouldn't hit you very often (if at all). When the last brother arrives, then you can restore your prayer.

This is a very obvious tip (to some), but to others, it is something they forget.
Hope it proves useful.

Start the quest 'Branches of Darkmeyer' to recieve Drakan's Medallion this way you can refill your prayer points after every chest open to save money on prayer potions with a teleport that leads you directly to barrows.
