Tip: Underground in the barrows you will experience prayer drain. For this reason you need to kill each brother as fast as possible and don't waste prayer pots by praying when you are attempting to locate the room with the chest. Use prayer only as protection from the brother's attacks (unless you have soul split and turmoil.)
Tip: The new polypore staff is very effective on the brothers. Even with 99 att, str, def and an extreme set it is difficult to kill some of the brothers with melee quickly. With the polypore staff you can easily get the kill with less hits and less time wasted.

Fighting Tips:
Important protip: Never go to barrows without a good supply of food and prayer pots.
1:Never fight ahrim without protect against magic (unless ranging)
2: Dharok hits high, so don't let him hit you.
3:Torag is the easist barrows but don't underestimate him or you will die.
4:Verac can hit through your prayer, i recomend good armour against him
5:Guthans can take away your HP, use any kind of ranged attacks or melee him with good armor.
6:Karil about the 2nd weakest, a shield is would be of use since he is ranged.
7:When you finish killing all the brothers, if your low on food, go resupply because you will need to do the maze next.
8:Check the floor to see if there is stuff that is dropped when you open the chest.
9:Kill the weak monsters first in the maze.
10: During the maze you might run into some brothers, (thats why i put in #7)
Easist Way to Get there:
Take the secret route behind the bar, of (edit here). Get to the boat and make sure to have money to come back. Go east then your at the barrows caves.

Hiding Spots? Anywhere he can't hit you. His hits hurt! (average 400)
Torag:
Recommended Armor - About any barrows armor or Bandos, Ahrim's Set
Weapon - Anything fast or can hit high, Ahrim's Staff
Shield - Dragon defender
Accessories - Anything is ok
Hiding Spots? Behind the Coffin
Karil:
Recommended Armor - Good melee Armor or anti ranged armor
Weapon - Whip, Saradomin Sword, god sword
Shield - Dragon Defender, the obby shield (toz-tok-something)
Accessories - Anything is ok
Hiding Spots? He's a ranged type so you can't

More tips:
Every barrows brother you have defeated will pop up in the screen once and a while
You will constantly drain prayer points
Everytime you answer the puzzle wrong you will have to find the door again.
If you havent killed the last brother yet and are at the chest, you'll have to fight him.
IF you can't find the exit from the barrows holes, just teleport outta there.
Guthan is a (censored)
Torag is the weakest barrow, but he hits high.
Dharok is the strongest barrow, but he hits like a 2h
Verac can hit through prayer, don't bother setting up protection.
Make sure to run through the gouals real fast

MOST IMPORTANT PROTIP: Play on a fast computer, if you lag, you'll lag to DEATH.

a nice tip for restoreing and maximising prayer while facing the brothers. face the brothers starting with dharok, akrisae if you have him, then verac, torag, guthan karil ahrim. use a drakans medallion an ectophial and an ardo cape as telemethods. the ectophial as a 1 click and the kandarin port to refuel prayer and port back via phial to save charge on your medallion, bank also useing medallion. no pray pots needed at all for me

Tip: Never go Into a crypt without a 1 click tele (tab , ectophial ,ect) in case you mess up or lag , you can tele out.

Tip: Kill the brothers in this order Dharok, Karil, Verac, Guthan, Torag, and Ahrim. In case you run out of pray you have the harder ones out of the way. If one of them if a crypt skip it move onto next one in order , then go back when you have killed everyone else.

I recommend using a Polypore staff if you can since it is cheap and powerful.
Otherwise, using a black salamander is an underrated yet effective method since it is cost effective, versatile (all 3 combat styles covered), and it is not based on your magic equipment bonuses, so wear that melle gear!

1. Always fight Dharok first. Protect from melee to protect from his high hits, and the other brothers should be okay for you to fight. I manage to kill Dharok and get around 50 prayer points which lasts me the fight with Ahrim and Karil.
2. Don't forget a teleport!

If you have done Branches of Darkmeyer and you have an Ardounge cloak of any grade, then you should use Drakan's Medallion to get to Barrows and when you start to run low n prayer points you should teleport to the Kandarin Monastery. When your Medallion starts to run low on charges, go to Burgh de Rott to recharge. Bring at least five medium level foods (healing 50 - 150) for when you fight Verac and for whilst you're in the tunnels.
Because I use this method and have practically infinite prayer, I wear void knight gear.
When I fight Guthan, Verac, Dharok, and Torag I use a black salamander, and when I fight Ahrim and Karil I use a whip and a dragon dagger.
(It helps to bring a defense potion for whilst you're fighting Verac and in the tunnels.)
