Whist in the tunnels, Guthan's set can be helpful to replenish lost lifepoints before fighting the final brother.
Never underestimate Dharok, keep protect melee up since he can quickly decimate your life.
And never forget your ... oh wait there are some on the mounds now.

For the 4 melee brothers, Dharok, Guthan, Torag, and Verac, using magic is the best choice. For people with 50 magic and 55 slayer, slayer dart is a good choice, because it does a good amount of damage and the runes needed are often replaced when opening the chest. For people with 80 magic, the polypore staff is a great choice due to high damage and you can almost always make up for the cost of charges used when opening the chest. For Karil and Ahrim a high level melee weapon, such as a godsword or abyssal whip and defender works well.

My tip for the courageous adventurer is that when you go against the evil spirits of Barrows, make sure you bring plenty of prayer potions! The cursed tombs of the brothers will drain your prayer points so you must watch out! Prayers are essential in the heat of battle and if you aren't able to use them, you may be in trouble! So make sure you bring a few of the helpful potions with you to make sure you stay safe and vanquish the malice filled Barrows Brothers!

If you have ancients, use ice spells against the melee brothers. That way, you can simply freeze the brother and retreat. This way, you can turn off your prayer and attack the brother safely for a while. (Take into account how long your ice spell freezes for. Ice rush freezes for 5 seconds, burst for 10, blitz for 15, barrage for 20.) Make sure you still bring a melee weapon for Karil and Ahrim though. I usually bring a ddp++ (for special) and a whip.
Also, if you want to save prayer potions, wear strong melee armor if you're maging. Because the melee brothers are so weak to magic, it doesn't matter if your magic attack bonus is -50. This way, you should only need to pray against Dharok, Ahrim, Karil, and leave any extra for Verac. (Although Verac can hit through pray and armor, its doesn't hurt to use and remaining prayer on him.) Torag and Guthan can still hit you if you don't pray, but they do less damage and hit less often.
Next, I got is the best order to do the brothers in. Like others have probably said, the best kill order is Dharok, Karil, Ahrim, Verac, Torag, Guthan. Doing Dharok first basically eliminates the possibility of running out of prayer, making the kill much safer. Doing Karil next is so you still have prayer to use against him. The reason why you do Karil before Ahrim is because even with prayer on, Ahrim can still reduce your attack, defence, and mostly your strength. Ahrim is best done after Karil because for the last three kills you won't be using melee, making Ahrims stat reducing useless. Do Verac next, using any prayer you may have left over from Ahrim, then proceed to the next two brothers. It doesn't matter which of the two you kill first, but I personally prefer doing Torag first because his crypt is closer to Verac's. After killing Torag or Guthan, proceed to killing the other brother. ONLY BREAK THIS ORDER TO MAKE THE BROTHER IN THE TUNNELS LAST.
I'm running out of letters now, so that's my advise for now. Big_Bang5766 signing out.

ok Tip #1 setup
-i use ganodermic, pollypore staff, unholy book, god cape, inf. boots, barrows gloves, r.o.w
-in inventory i carry 12 sara brews, 4 super restores, 1k+ deaths, 1k+ bloods, 3k+ water runes, torag armor (3peices), whip, special weapon (example:dragon dagger, or claws), 1 prayer pot (4), drakan's medallion, and rest is sharks
Tip #2 tactic
(teleport using medallion)
-in order 1st -6th/7th depending if u did r.o.t.m
-Dharok- use gano and polypore, pray mele and use an ice spell and run away and use polypore spell, repeat as needed
-Karil- use torag and spec wep, pray range and spec him, switch to main wep and kill him
-Ahrim - Ahrim drains stats so feel free to do him last. use same tactic for karil but mage protect (use ppot if needed)
-Akrisae- gano and whip, attack him and he will use prayer, mage him and he will pray mage then mele, repeat as needed, feel free to pray
-Verac- same tactic as dharok but dont pray
-guthan- same tactic as dharok but dont pray
-torag- same tactic as dharok but dont pray
After you finish use the medalion to tele to barrows and repeat
(notes)
-not everyone has akrisae
-while in the tombs or catacombs your prayer will drop
-to use sara brews simply drink 3 sips of a brew and one sip of super restore
-super restores heal prayer use it wisely
-branches of darkmayer is required for medalion
this is kinda like a guide but my tips for equip and tactic are here gl
:D
