==Useful tips for Barrows==

Tip 1: When fighting the melee brothers (Dharoks, Veracs, Torags, Guthans & Akrisae) start binding them (Using ice barrage or any other ice spells as it allows you to safe spot them and damage them at the same time). If you're wondering about the price. The death and blood runes are looted from the rewards chest so you only need to bring water runes when using this spell. This also works when you have to unlock the door to access the chest when the monsters attack you. You can easily run back 2 spaces, bind them, unlock the door with ease. This safe spot must only be used if ranging or using magic ( Magic preferred)
Tip 2: Using the 'Polypore Staff' is an effective way to kill them as they are extremely weak against magic. This is a cost effective option as it is about 800k in the Grand Exchange. The polypore staff doesn't require runes in your inventory hence saves space. It doesn't require a spellbook so you can easy use ancient spells (Look at tip 1) on the brothers AND the polypore staff.

Using an orb of occulus can help you find which door you need to make your way to for the chest looting.
Make sure your ring of wealth is charged. That way, you can use your ring for it's benefit of a chance of extra loot, as a safety teleport and as a quick way to get to the grand exchange to sell your shiny loot or to restock on supplies.
Use the combat Triangle to your advantage; magic works well on the melee brothers, range on Ahrim (the mage one) and melee on Karil (the range one).
Only pray when needed; drinking excessive potions will waste your supplies, and cut into the profits.
If things don't go as planned, and someone dies, bless their grave if you can. You know that you would want someone to do the same for you.
Persist; good things come to those who do.
Don't forget about special attacks; even if it's just an excalibur special for extra defense, or dragon claws to deal some serious damage to the troublesome brothers.
Ice magic or entangle are amazing spells for keeping the brothers where you want them. However, be vigilant. If the spell wears off, they may get some lucky hits in.

What equipment to bring
Really depends on your character, it determines which tactic is most effective. If you are experienced enough and have the cash meleeing with veracs and using a dragon defender with a dds can be really effective. If you plan on meleeing I strongly suggest 2 pieces on ranged armour to soak Ahrim's damage and stat reductions. Also for meleeing a super set is greatly effective.
If you are a beginner I strongly suggest having good food with single eat and high heal. Though as you get more accustomed to the feel of killing the brothers you may bring strawberry(5) or wild/summerpies, though having a few sharks for tricky situations is welcome. Prayer potions are useful too. The amount you bring depends on how much food you take. Both soak damage, up to you.
The best ways of handling each monster or boss
Dharok first and hope he is not in the tunnel. Always pray on him because he can easilly KO you without protect from melee on.
Ahrim I do next, wear karil's chest and legs spec with dds, he is dead.
Verac kill him straight up, depending on food/pray pot situation I pray or I don't he does not hit like Dharok.
Guthan and Torag kill them without prayer. High defense for Guthan is recomended so he does not heal.
Karil I spec him with the dds if Ahrim is in the tunnel. Wearing veracs makes him die quite fast. Also if you are struggling feel free to use prayer.
The easiest way to get there.
Running barrows is all about the money. Unless you have a quick route/can make many chests in single run it is far from effective. Drakan''s medallion makes running barrows so much quicker that I would not go without it.
Special trivia you think could be of interest.
To the people suggesting slayer dart is the way to go I have to disagree somewhat. Yes you get the runes for the spell from the rewardchest occasionally but it is the inherent low magic resistance of the brothers that makes maging effective not some special quality of the spell.

1. Prayer renewals are extremely powerful at barrows. They give you an extra few prayer points even after you prayer gets dropped to zero and is still being drained. This allows you to use soulsplit for hits you land to recover points. Used in conjuction with Overloads and you can easily do one chest each five minutes (12 chests in an hour).
2. Completion of the Myreque quest series gives access to Drakan's Medallion. Through the quest series you will repair a bank in Burgh de Rott. The medallion allows you to teleport to several places (when in Canfis area it uses no charge, so infinite teleports) -- including right to Barrows and near the bank in Burgh de Rott. Basically you get instant banking at no cost.

if you have low defense and some what decent range, a cannon fits nicely at the corner of any one of the brother's sarcophagus. set the cannon and click the sarcophagus and then let the cannon do all the work. very expensive but yet effectively allowing u to never get hurt.

Okay this tips is for for People with
-Draken Medallion
-80+Magic (90 for better damage)
-High Prayer Level. (Protection against Melee and Ranged is a must)
All you need for equipment will be
-Polypore staff
-Ahrim top & bottom
-Infinity boots
-Farseer Helm
-Illuminated Unholy Book
-Barrow Glove
-Amulet of Fury/Glory
-Ring of Wealth
Your Inventory should consist of
-A Spade
-A Korasi Sword (For the Special to deal magic damage to Akrisae)/Other Melee Weapon
-10-15 Prayer Potions (4)
-5-10 Sharks/Monkfish
Now to the work.
Basically You can kill all 6 Brothers just by using Polypore staff spell. No Joke!!!
With the exception of Akrisae, you have to switch to korasi sword when he switch to Protection Magic and activates special when he switch to protection melee because of Korasi's special inflicts magic damage)
My Magic level is 92 and i am able to kill all Brothers without any Boost of whatsoever on offence.
Polypore staff can Deal 300+ damage to both Ahrim and Karil with ease and fairly accurate.
Only one sip of prayer potion would be consumed when fighting each Brother even with Dummy clicking skill.
(It's better to use protection prayer method against all Brother because it will allow you to save more of your Food slot for Prayer potions)
Draken Medallion
>> By using a Draken Medallion, after every trip you can just teleport back to Barrows surface or Burge De Rott Bank Without using a single charge due to the shortage of journey. (Very Convenient)
The Basis of My Barrows Method
>> It saves a lot of Space as you don't have to bring any other equipment or Boosting potion as you will only need a Extra Korasi sword in your inventory and rest can be prayer potions and some food.
Saves lot of time and hassle because you don't have to switch equipment, consuming different potions, using different Boost or other consideration.
Just some tips that i can think about =).
No more runes slots, switching spells/armour/switching ancient etc
Happy Barrowing ^^

I've tried Barrows many times over my RuneScape career and in my opinion one of the best tactics is a salamander with it's corresponding tar, of course. As it is both cheap AND effective !
Try to get Dharok or Verac out of the way first. ALWAYS pray melee with Dharok as the lower his HP gets, the higher he hits. You shouldn't bother praying when facing Verac as he can hit through prayer and armour anyway...
Overall: Bring lots of prayer pots and food and if using a salamander bring another weapon for getting that kill count up in the catacombs ! Enhanced Excallibur's special attack can also get you out of any sticky situation you may find yourself in ! :)
PS: DON'T FORGET YOUR SPADE ! ;)
