Gear up in Tri-Brid gear, (Range, Melle, Mage)
Get a good melle weapon ex-(whip, rapier, dragon scimitar)
The best bow you can, ex-(rune crossbow, chaotic c-bow) and of course bolts you can afford (broad work well)
A mage spell, ex-(slayer dart, fire surge, the spell of armadyl), these spells devistate the barrows brothers.
Other gear that you should bring:
Food
Prayer potions
Ring of Wealth
SPADE
Restore/super/extreme potions
optional: Prayer Renewal potions
*IT IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED TO HAVE 43 PRAYER*
Fighting the Barrows Brothers-----
Start off With Dharok and using a magic spell, pray melle before fighting him and it should be a very fast fight even with a spell like slayer dart
Next move onto Ahrim, He lowers your att, str, def skills, you are going to want to range him for the most effectiveness due to the combat triangle, Pray Magic, Ahrims isnt that scary at all
Go to Karil, Pray range, and switch to your melle weapon, he is very easy too kill
Next move onto Guthans, assuming you arn't 99 prayer your prayer will be around 150 points by now, so pray Melle and use a magic spell that you have on guthans
Torags is next, most of the time you might run out of prayer by this time if you are a low level, or defence, I would suggest drinking a prayer potion and maging Torags, If you have decent armour such as (torags, rune) and you have a defence level around 70+ He doesn't hit that much and he is pretty fast to kill.
Assuming you have not done the quest for the new barrows brother you are going to move onto Verac. Verac is rather easy to kill but can sometimes be annoying due to the fact that he can hit through prayer. He does not hit as often as Torag, so just Mage him and he is a fast kill.
The Maze:
The maze is rather simple you just find the doors that you can open and remember you are in a 9x9 square with outer rings connecting, just make your way through doors you can open and to the puzzles and defeat the barrows brother at the chest and loot it.
Goodluck!

1. When praying against all the brothers, it is wise to bring more prayer potions than food, as you will only be taking damage from Verac, and the monsters in the tunnel.
2. If you are using magic, bring good defensive armor, rather than magic robes, since all the brothers are very weak against magic (except Ahrim, bring a melee/ranged weapon for him), you do not need a high magic bonus to hit often.
Good luck!

I got several tips:
- Take guthans as melee protection armour, so you can refill your hp without eating.
- use a polypore staff or a staff of light with slayer dart. This prevents your runes from accedently running out.
- Have the quest Branches of Darkmeyer completed. It gives you direct acces to barrows and a bank, and is a nice escape after looting the chest.
Roawr.

1) The new Polypore Staff is a perfect Barrows weapon, with the cost of recharging being made up with the loot you get. It also needs no autocasting, simply equipping is enough (making Akrisae easier to defeat) The spell hits hard and fairly accurately. Thus I name this weapon the perfect cost effective and damage dealing way to mage the brothers.
2) You should tackle the Brothers in this order to minimize damage and negative effects for when you head to the tunnels to collect your loot. Dharok, Verac/Akrisae, Karil, Ahrim, and finally Guthan. If your prayer and magic level is high enough you can tackle this setup without taking more taking more than one sip of a prayer potion.

Doing the Branches of Darkmeyer quest will help you teleport to Barrows, and Darkmeyer, where prayer can be restored easily.
Increasing the kill count while in a hidden tunnel with give you a better chance at attaining a peice of armor or weapon from the rewards chest.

~ Try to use all 3 combat styles for max efficiency , range ahrim, use magic on the melee brothers, and melee karil. (whether it be salamander or staff of light, whip, rune crossbow)
~ Try and do the myreque quest series as it will make barrows easier including close banks, and teleports to barrows.
~ Praying melee is recommended (on dharok) unless using ice barrage/burst to freeze him.
~ Be sure to wear ring of wealth for a chance at prayer potions (2)/ sharks to extend trips slightly longer
~ Loyalty Aura: Not needed, but helpful, penance, reverence (greater, master) vampyrism
~ spades are no longer a problem since the update there have been spades added to barrows mounds.

To do Barrows without Prayer/food:
Use guthan set.
Staff of light
Strong shield = i use the DFS.
Barrows gloves, row, fury, ard. cape 3, d boots = what i else use.
When u start the trip.
go down to Dh, use the staff of light spell = reduce the max hit of melee on you for 50% for 1 minute.
In that 1 minute, you can kill Dh en verac if you are quik.
And the max hit of Dh is now around 270, so you can't be comboed to death.
With the guthan you can heal then.
And the strong deffence armour again reduce the hit on you = guthan, fury, ardy cape, d boots, DFS...
I am 97 magic and 91 deffence.
And i can do easy 20 runs in 1 trip with this.
I hope this is a good tip that ppl can use.

Using snares, binds or ice spells and moving away from your target to kill them from a dictance works a treat!
Try using Binds in combination with slayer dart for a cheap yet effective way to kill Dharok, Verac, Torag, and Guthans!
Using your most powerful melee weapon on Karil is your best option, and will also work on Ahrim, although range is prefered!

1. For those that have done the Desert Treasure quest and have at least 82 magic, try and ice blitz/barrage the melee brothers once (or until you successfully freeze him) and then step away to use your slayer dart/polypore staff, this should cut back on prayer use and the runes you use will be refunded, and then some, from the chest. (be careful with Dharok though, because if he unfreezes before he dies, you could be expecting a big hit, so step about 5 squares away and have protect from melee ready)
2. for those of you who would rather just pray to protect yourself from the Brothers' attacks, the order you kill the brothers is important, do some test runs and figure out what order allows you to use the least amount of prayer potion doses.
