Even though it's only a few hundred posts; the general consensus I'm getting from the discussion on this thread is:

"You sucked this year. I'm voting for such and such other game (even if I don't play it) because all I hear about them is good."

Maybe, just maybe (!) one of you at the offices there will take this GJA loss with a heavy burden. Maybe you'll realize just adding buyable cosmetics and over promoting spin/pay-to-win aspects of the game does NOT make you the best.

You want to know why you won 2009-2010?

Because none of your garbage existed. Not even the Loyalty Programme.

Rethink what the priority in this game is when it comes to updating and tending to; and maybe you'll win again in the future.

You're saying that I don't have a life because I have more than 20 Mil total XP and at least one skill 99.

I wouldn't call someone who have under 20 Mil total XP a veteran. Unless person have very specific play style. For example people who only merchant.

Would you consider them a veteran if they had their veteran's cape.

Nice way to derail a thread by being narrow minded and judgemental guys.

Just having an account made long time account doesn't make you a veteran. "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape."

2011: Year of the Bots - game was over-ran and we were mad. This was the only reason why you lost.

2012: $oF, Solomons, EoC, OSRS released - over 100k members (not bots) quit. Bots flood '07 serves within 24 hours.

2013: Continued broken promises on $oF with more frequent promotions. RS3 launch was a disaster, NIS is full of bugs. Bots continue to flood '07 servers. RS3 has few bots, debate still going on if this is Jagex being successful against them, or they are just fleeing a sinking ship.

I hope someone cares, or in December the 2nd wave of mass quits will happen by people that got the gold premier membership just won't renew. Got about 90 days for me to decide on this.

2014: MMG resigns as CEO, IVP packs their bags and takes $oF with them. Bugs are fixed and Elven quest is released. Andrew Gower fixes Jagex HQ. You get a golden joystick award :) Jagex 2019 New Year Resolution... MTX our customers until RS3 SERVER SHUTDOWN PARTY!
The RS3 Community is treated like :@ RUBBISH :@ due to constant TH promotions.

Don't buy keys on Treasure Hunter, if you do Jagex will only make more TH promotions :(

Seeing many reactions to Runescape's nomination, chances are they won't be winning. In the future (when Jagex stops all of this SoF stuff and keeps SGS to pure cosmetics) if they get nominated and win again, it makes be wonder if the bots will be back seeing that this game still has life. It may be show how well Jagex's anti-bot system works. Just a small thought.

To those who keep sending your votes in for games you never played, it brings a false community reaction to the game. Who is to say that that game is bad and the players (of such game) feel that it's doing a bad way the owners are running it. What if that was the case for RS, in which people voted for it out of spite, while the RS community gets angry (whether is be strong anger or simple displeasement) because we think that people are supporting the way Jagex is running it.

I'm not here to say who to vote for but merely think about your actions and not do something out of spite because it could be happening to RS. False hope for anything isn't good to the one receiving it, for it deceives the person/people into thinking they're doing something right... when they're not...
