Runescape3/Jagex did not get my vote for Best Online Game this year. To be honest, I am surprised RS3 even got nominated. My opinion (lol, yeah it has the same value as everyone elses, means 'nada') is while Runescape has seen 'massive' updates in mechanics (EoC) and content (RS3) within the last year, the players have seen a spike in unbalanced gameplay (STILL!), glitches, DCs and wild arse bugs (Vorago). Runescape 3 is simply not good enough to be 'The Best' in its current state. So much fluctuation this year with RS3 on almost every level. The current playerbase will just have to be patient to see if RS3 stabilizes or not (again I mean this on so many different levels => playerbase, economy, gameplay, etc).

For me, its all about the gameplay. If I can not jump on and just play then I will not make time for said game (yes, our (my) time has value). Happy Scapin'

Do you honestly think you deserve this? You have to be kidding, right?

Instead of 'evolving combat', you should have gave skills a use. I played this game for the combat, and that was strictly it. My Runetracker has shown that since 2007, despite being practically maxed combat, exceptions of defense, prayer, summ. You changed the one thing that many played and enjoyed the game for, instead of offering even more content on the other side to get us more involved in that, beyond a stupid cape or something.

As a whole, you guys and gals can develop some amazing things, but there's a big community of gamers that love the crafting/skilling aspect of MMO's who would have killed to have more content beyond combat, and changing the main and only aspect some of us enjoyed. Seriously, I haven't even stayed with any MMO besides RS beyond a year. None of them excite me, despite trying 100+ other games. Mass content, good and simple, but underlying indepth combat. That's what brought me back. I just WISH you brought more detail and uses to crafting, NOT combat. Half of the ******* skilling/crafting is USELESS.

Now, about your competition. I've played JUST under half of them. Yeah, and I mean 2 or 3 months at least played. Many of them are well built, and play far better than EoC/RS3 does (whatever you want to call it). They're fluent, customizable in both interface and gear/account. I liked that aspect, no, I LOVED it, but the ability based combat only goes so far. It's repetitive. I've played EoC the last week on my now 40 def pure just to see. It literally was the same routine. Classes offer the same premise of abilities. Where is the different play experiences??

Oh yeah, offering 'different play styles' isn't good for the lazy generation you're appealing to. Good job making that **** decision.

Write-in candidate? OSRS? :P

Seriously though, I'll be voting the same as I have since the last win -- not for Jagex.

A little too self-important after win #2, and a lot of -We no longer have to listen to our players- attitude from Jmods in the past 3 years. Jagex, you've earned the losses as much as those two wins.

You get my vote again when you earn it back. Given what you continue to do (bonds being the latest), I'm guessing that will be never.

You don't deserve it one bit.

The gameplay, along with skills and the economy is broken. For example smithing, spend hundreds of millions for 99, make rune plate. Tier 50/99 armour after achieving skill mastery. There is a similar story with other skills, you never took the effort to overhaul and keep them in line with all the stuff you kept releasing.

Then there are the trust issues with your community.

Sorry but you need to stop milking this game and just go away. 2013 has been a very bad year, and only the veteran players understand this.

Well I'm a veteran, and 2013 has NOT been a bad year. In my opinion, 2012 was a real disaster. All they've done for 2013 is release a massive war(In truth it WAS a group grind fest...), epic quests, a new skill, and better sounds and graphics. Instead of complaining about what ISN'T updated, go stick those in the suggestions forum to try and rally support for those issues, which in turn could get you that smithing overhaul, or some other overhaul. Quit being so narrow-minded and immature about every update Jagex releases. Try to make a change instead of sitting there complaining. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make a suggestion about the smithing thing. Been meaning to do that myself for a while.

EDIT: Ditch banking pets and SOF. Banking pets are a buyable in-game advantage, and SOF is just "Get your daily advantages here." There's people who train legit, and nubs who buy their XP.

veteran? you dont even have 20 mill overall xp or a single 99 skill....lol vet

sorry it just bugs me when people use the word vet all the time but are just noobs

on topic golden stick? lol no gl with that
