2nd question;

I know Firefox will eventually support HTML5, but I'm wondering if you guys know of any estimate time in when they'll announce it?

They're targeting a release later this year with support.

When will regular members have access to testing the new HTML5 system and the NIS?

We are looking to open both tests to members in late May

So far, standing on mountains and other high platforms gives us an excellent potential render distance, but much of the landscape is only partially rendered, which actually hurts the graphical experience. Will this be solved?

One of the things we haven't yet built into the new engine is handling lower detail models when rendering in the distance, this is why we cull some of the detail off far away. It's a feature we'd like to add for some things (especially trees) to allow us to render more into the distance.

Will you guys ever create a full download for the RS. Instead of having everything run online and through browsers?

Never say never, but I think it's unlikely in the near future. RuneScape is a browser game, and that gives us a number of advantages over other games that we don't want to lose.

in the report bug system, it always asks for repeatability, which does not always seem applicable. what kind of info are you looking for?

It is very useful to us to know if players are able to reproduce issues (and how!) and how frequent this would be. Something that can be reproduced 100% is of course much easier to investigate (and might be a bigger impact).

So please always try to give us reproduction steps where possible and if you know you tried it 5 times and it broke 5 out of 5 times, this will help us tackle these issues a lot.

HTML5:
-Will ANY web-browser with HTML5 and WebGL support be able to run Runescape 3 once it's released? For example: IE11 when it's released later this year?
-Will there ever be resource caches we can put on our machines to help Runescape load and run even faster?

- We don't place any restrictions on which browsers will run the HTML5 client. We test a load of features that the browser needs to support and fail if any aren't met. If Microsoft or Apple (or browser vendor X) support the required features the client should run - this is the beauty of web standards!
- We already cache data on your machine.

OTHER:
-Will we ever see the ability to use non-mouse/keyboard input controllers for the Orb of Occulus? For example, an XBOX or PS3 paddle? =P

They skipped my most important question.....

Will the 0.6 game tick be lowered, if not: RuneScape 2.1.............

Unfortunately no, we cant do this without updating the logic throughout the game and all the content we have written.

When the HTML5 beta came out, the graphics options were changed so that you have to have fog on to view to high detail water. Is this a permanent change? I can understand that perhaps water uses fog, but could the 2 types of fog be split so that the options can be separate again? I don't like fog =/

I think this was an accidental change to the Java client and will be changed back.

What is the current screen resolution in the HTML 5 beta? 720p? Would this be customisable like it is in the current game?

This depends on the resolution of your screen. You can alter it by changing the browser window.
