In 2011, me and my family went for a trip around the Gulf Coast. Our first stop was in Houston to visit NASA. Next stop was New Orleans to check out all the town squares and different cemeteries. After New Orleans we stayed in Kiln, Mississippi where Brett Favre grew up as a child. Then we went to Orlando, Florida for a good time at Disney Land. Then we traveled on over to Daytona Beach and went body surfing and burning our skins. After we were done with the intense sun and burning we decided to go check out the Jack Daniels Factory in Lychberg, Tennessee. That is also a dry county. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is a area where liquor cant be sold. Then we visited the Gateway arch in St. Louis, Missouri. After that it was a cool 12 hour drive home to Wisconsin. Always good to leave home but it's always great to return to your home town and familiar surroundings.

Haha so this is a story from a couple years ago. So when your a kid, summer vacation is a time to hang out with all your friends and go buck wild! This is a story of one of our mischievous nights. So one night, me and like 6 other buddies decided to sneak out of the house (even though we were camped in the front yard) and go find fun in the dead of night. We grabbed the essential items: Slingshots, Paint balls, Paper bag, Toilet Paper, and some Eggs. You can see where this is going.
So our first stop of the night was the woods along side a cemetery by my house. We decided we needed to get rid of some of the eggs. A lot of us tried and didn't have any luck hitting the driving cars. We decided our big brute of a friend deserved the last egg. Car goes by, he chucks it. The sound was so loud i thought their window broke! The car slams on the breaks and turns around. Meanwhile (we are posted on the side of a fence with only one way to go) we book it into the woods for cover while the car drives into the cemetery and aims its headlights at us. We drop to the ground, and the lights turn off, so we start running again. This happened a couple times (i am sure they figured out the size of the group and decided not to pursue) but we escaped into the woods laughing as hard as I've ever laughed.
The second stop will remain disclosed, but we managed to find fire extinguishers and industrial plastic wrap. We walked calmly down the road unleashing the extinguishers which blacked out the street lights. Once we got to my road, we decided to wrap the plastic across the road between a tree and a mailbox (at least 20 times). The sound it made when cars broke through it was like pulling packing tape off a roll really quick with a nice big SNAP at the end. Every time a car would hit it we would run away laughing and holding our stomachs (for no apparent reason, because we were in the woods).
This is honestly one of the funniest events in my life, and i will never forget that night.

My favorite summertime story is kind of sad, but heartfelt:
4 years ago, a week and a half before my sister's wedding, (the wedding was on June 20th) her fiancee cut his left hand up very badly with a table saw. It was horrible, we spent days at the hospital. On the day of their wedding, he hadn't healed enough to be able to wear the ring, so they both got silver necklaces and wore them on the necklace for about 8 months, until his finger had shrunken down and healed enough to wear it. It just goes to show how love can overcome anything, and it always gives me a boost to remember it!

Hope you can gain something from it. :)
