While waiting for my laptop at the end of Frankfurt International Airport’s Floor B security, I began to wonder why it was taking unusually long. My laptop is the only device that I can communicate with my mother and play RuneScape. A worker across asked if the laptop was mine. “Yes,” I replied. A buff German staff came and stood next to me. “Is there something wrong?” I asked needing to inquire. “You have an explosive device,” she proudly stated. I was falsely accused in August 2011 while on my way to be with my boyfriend in an exotic country.

Note (not part of the above summer story competition): I had just finished with my summer studies that summer, and I was given the opportunity to go see my boyfriend in another country. - We met through our favourite online game: RuneScape. - It was my very first time traveling abroad, and I completely did not see that horrifying accusation incident coming.

I have played a load of videogames during this summer vacation (love it end there's no school to worry much about). First, I ran over a bunch of players online in Mario Kart 7, trolling them with Lakitu and his kart and items, especially while going underwater out in places like Koopa Cape. Next, I played some Super Mario 3D Land, having fun by playing as Tanooki Mario and Luigi and having them stomp on Goombas just as if they're using a flying stomp emote -- all the while enjoying the relaxing background music.
And of course, there's the mandatory Runescape gameplay, with my character (when he's not owning monsters) scrolling through the customisation interface to check out the new summer-themed clothing options, lol at the possible Kirby reference on the 2h parasol option, and look in amusement at the Gnome Air home teleport (which to me would look like it came from a Runescape spy flick if my character didn't hold a suitcase for his vacation getaway)!

During the summer before school starts you must attend football training camp with your teammates to be part of the team. The coaches have their own cabins and players have their own with about 10 team mates in each one. One night while were all joking around I mooned everyone through the cabin window. Well as my cheeks made contact with the window it shattered and cut my left butt cheek which I had to show the coaches and the female trainer. Until I graduated people called me cheeks. And I got a memorable scar that will always remind me. :)

A few summers ago, I went to St. Lucia for 2 weeks. We were on a boat cruise on the 2nd day, when I saw this girl, the same age as me, sitting alone at the front. I went and sat next to her. We talked, and struck up a good friendship. As her family was staying in the same hotel, we met up most days, as we relaxed by the pool. On the last day, I even managed to get a kiss goodbye, without my parents seeing! That summer remains as one of the happiest holidays of my life.

I met an amazing new friend at my local GameStop this summer. By chance I had stopped by to pick-up a game card for the flaming skull promo and upon making my purchase swapped information with the cashier who also plays Runescape!
I recently moved to this area and hadn’t known anyone locally so meeting Rebecca that day quickly made summer a lot less boring. Since then we’ve hung out tons online and off making this summer one of my best in recent years. All possible thanks to Runescape. ;)
