I went to Sonisphere in Helsinki, mostly to see Metallica and Machine head. During Machine Head's show I lost my shoe in the circle pit and never saw it again. Then, while listening to Metallica, with only one shoe, someone stole my water bottle.
I walked back to my cousins' apartment and went to bed. I woke up and felt pain all over my body. And to be honest, it was the most awesome evening I've had this summer. I'm pretty cool

I live next to a river. It has a great waterfall you can slide down (angle not to scale):

My dad and I ignored the neighbours' warnings of sewage being dumped into the river and went for a summer swim. We swam, and swam, and swam a bit more. All jolly good fun. My dad said:
"See son, I told you the water would be fine."
A few seconds later I saw a dead fish floating slowly down the river. And that's when I began to question the true nature of the "mud" I was standing on.

This summer, I went to Fuerte Ventura, a island where strong wind is always present. The weather was really good. Most of the time, it was 35 degrees Celcius and you didn't even notice it because of the cool breeze. Too bad there was a side-effect: You wouldn't feel the sun burning on your skin! This summer, I found out that your body can be white, brown and red at the same time!
At least there was a aloe-vera farm, where we bought a lot of oozy stuff to put on our burnt arms and legs. It really worked!

This year, I visited sunny Ireland. You’d think I was being sarcastic but it really was sunny enough to get my arms pretty badly burned. We thought sea kayaking would be a good idea. The sun was shining, the sea was fairly calm and we even got to see a dolphin and a few puffins. On our way back, however, the wind had picked up. This, on top of the turning tide worked against us to make our progress agonisingly slow. My arms were so abused that I could barely lift myself out of the kayak.
I’d do it again.

And what a happy sight Runescape player over 10 years - Loves to Quest, and check the lore.

Last summer me and my family went to Disney in Orlando for 2 weeks, driving on our way to one of the parks in our rental car we passed a couple toll booths. My dad handed over a note and was about to ask for some change. As he was mid-sentence a motorbike engine revved. The result? My dad went: "Can I have some CHANGE PLEASE?!"-literally shouting the last bit at the top of his voice! haha.
Me, my sisters and my mum wouldn't shut up laughing for over an hour afterwards, my dad was very embarrassed! :D

Greetings Jagex, and everyone else reading!
My summer has been terrible. I have viral strep throat and it just won't go away. I can't even go outside because of my pounding headaches, and sore throat. All of my friends are down at the beach pickin' up the ladies ;) while i'm at home sipping on hot tea to cure my throat. Summer 2012 is TERRIBLE FOR ME :(

Read through roughly the whole first page, and got a good general idea of what I should write my favorite summer tale about.
SOOO... here goes nothing:
After lunch at my summer camp, it was time for the girls to head to the pool, so all the guys made their way down to the field to play baseball. I got the chance to play second base, so after a few players were up to bat, one of the counselors decided he wanted to bat. He hit it near right field, and was just rounding to second base when I caught the ball. After catching it and getting him out, he tried to stop running and ended up tripping over my foot (which was quite hilarious xD).
EDIT: Just realized I had 99 words lol

Well my summer started off amazing, job going good and beach days goin like crazy because partying is what i do! err, did... see, one day my auntie asked me to build her a deck and shed pay me $800. This would be my roadtrip money fo Kanosee Waterslides next week, but halfway through the job a saw had backfired and i cut the end of thumb off betwen the nail and the knuckle about 75% off :( luckily they were able to reattach it! this makes this my most memorable summer yet, and ya know what? Doesnt even bother me it got cut haha, i play RS alot now and drink cool-aid. Just no waterslides for me now :(
P.S. the pictures we got of my thumb... there GOLD and GRUESOME!!!
(Alot of Melbourne Shuffling this summer for thoes who know what that is)
