Jagex, why don't you put a poll?, so that you could see what players actually want.
Is hard to me to believe that Jagex actually care for the players, when is refusing what some F-Mods, players and MEMBERS want. Since we, members, keep Jagex alive with money we should have a voice. Atleast decide updates like this with polls!¿Or I am wrong?
Jagex, if all of this is for money: OK, NO PROBLEM, you can do like In game, adverts, members won't have them, and free players would just ignore them.
ALSO, I want a replay from my previous post, please. (Page 12)
Thank you.

Since I have never been in any language forum other than English I cannot give the best feedback, but I'll do my best. That doesn't mean that I agree with your decisions and ideas. Having a larger community is wonderful and all, but removing smaller communities to achieve a larger community isn't the way to go. When these forums are removed, a good percentage of players won't be able to go to the English Forums and participate because they can't understand.
When this does happen, I strongly recommend that players use Google Chrome as their browser. There is an option to translate the entire page into a different language. For Example: Spanish to English. If you can't read or type English, this is the best way to go.
I can understand if this suggestion won't work because of whatever reason. Of course time zones can be a big issue with this suggestion, but who knows? There's gotta be a time somewhere where a majority of players are online. Can't you just schedule the same event in each section, translated to each forum. This would join events to all communities, join together all players, and then return home to each language forum and enjoy support from their assigned J-Mod. Also there can still be separate events for each language to keep things different.
What I'm saying is, instead of removing communities, create community joining events. It's kind of like the English - (Insert Language) Friendship Forums. Schedule the same event for all languages, translated to its kind. That way all communities join to one large one, and then return home.
Intentions are good. I'm all for a larger and more interacting community, but smaller communities like the Language Forums, even the Runescape Classic Forums make up a big part of the Forums.

It's just like creating a thread. It takes days to get posters, weeks to get into hundreds. You have to work together with people and expand slowly. Each community is kind of like what I see a small company. You start out small. Eventually, customers become attracted to it. Then you start to get loyal customers. Eventually you can expand and hold events. Then you can get a J-Mod or two to oversee the company/community.
Not all language forums are going to be boomers. No offense to Jagex what so ever in my posting. I'm just giving my feedback.
Thanks for anyone who reads. It got really lengthy for someone whos never been to the language forums. :)

Thanks for your posts. Very good points you have there. :)
We only need Jagex to read them.
Jagex want that EACH player get the best experience, but getting induvidually would be selfish, because we wouldn't be able to help the ones of our communities (and even of other communities) to make other forums grow.

" One J-Mod supporting a community cannot possibly offer the same support and engagement that a whole team of J-Mods can offer."
I have a question Mod Mat K. Do YOU speak Spanish? If you don't then you can't help hundreds of players who don't speak English. These subforums were our little place where we could hang out as a community. Some worked really hard to make it work. When Mod Achilles left we waited 5 MONTHS for someone to take his position, Mod Keildest came less than a month ago and now you want to destroy everything we've been working on and gained? I don't even believe you think this is a good idea, nobody does we just have to be polite because of the "oh-so-almighty-crown".
But the WORST thing is how you go all "happy-goody" saying this is the best for us and that this is a positive change. Stop lying, there are obviously ULTERIOR MOTIVES to this decision, you just know we would be disgusted with it. And we would be right.
What you did with the Spanish community is unforgivable, you teased us with a new Mod for our community and then you eliminate everything THREE DAYS AFTER MOD KEILDEST'S WELCOME PARTY.
We might be small communities, but we won't forget this, remember that Jagex. You are NOT helping.

I dissagree with this update.
As dutch person and posting for 5 years on the english forum,
i know how it feels to communicate in english.
And it is more worser for for someone who can't understand english.
After 5 years i still can't express my thoughts and feelings as i can in my dutch language.
It often happens that i don't understand a joke or english people understand me wrong.
The reason that Jagex is giving is not better for any community.
So they must have an other reason for doing this update.

" One J-Mod supporting a community cannot possibly offer the same support and engagement that a whole team of J-Mods can offer."
_____
Have you ever been to the Scandinavian community? Our CM did/does a great job, everyone feels welcome and appreciated. The events have become fewer over the last few months, but that's because you overwork our CM. Whenever CM is online, people are enjoying themselves, attending scandinavian-talking events and having fun - isn't having fun what RS is about?
My last post got deleted for asking about a specific individual, so I've made sure that the CM in question is not named.
Many members of the scandinavian community are more comfortable using their own language than writing English, it is very understandable.
When the small communities were established, we were thrilled, have you forgot why you made these communities?
You were unable to reach every player, due to cultural- and language barriers.
I do hope you will take this into consideration:
Removal of these forums will result in players quitting, not just players, but noticable players, players engaged in the community and the players who makes the difference between an okay and a great gaming experience.
Removal of these forums will result in many more not using the forums at all.
Removal of these forums will kill entire communities.
Thanks for your time.

"This means that we will be more visible in-game and within the community, running events, competitions and listening to your views so that together we can make RuneScape even more enjoyable for everyone."

And i think you don't understand why and how a lot players play and enjoy your game.
Events and compitations is not for everyone a reason why they like playing this game.
A lot are playing this game in their own way and with their own communinity.

Just a little reminder from the Dutch community.
We've had only 1 J-mod for the past 2 months and the community felt that, now that we don't have one anymore and you're bringing in a new one, what will the change be for us? If you plan on giving us better support than before then you could at least give us 2 J-mods to spread the work out a little bit. You said it for yourself that the Dutch community is indeed very large. But what's the point in giving us only 1 J-mod when we've been asking for at least 2 for the past couple of months?
I believe you, Mod Stevew, even posted in our English thread about the matter and telling us we won't be getting a new Dutch J-mod because you had to be mindful of how you guys were using your resources.
I suggest that you go back to that thread (Quick find code: 277-278-43-62890850) and read the last 4 pages that have been posted over there, because I feel like the Dutch community will be left in the dark after July 18th.
I do appreciate that you'll be leaving the Dutch forums as they are, because alot of friendships, great suggestions and discussions have been made in those forums, but we just can't function correctly as a community with only 1 J-mod.
