Welcome to Asgarnia, a group dedicated to text-based roleplay in the region of the same name in RuneScape lore. Co-led by Aerisop Aren and myself, this is the place to be for Asgarnian and Asgarnia-related roleplay.


Whether you believe in the power of POK’s, the tranquility of Hubs, or the freedom of Freelance, you are welcome to roleplay here, free of label or branding. This group replaces both the Asgarnian Hub and the Asgarnian POK, but is neither in name. If you've come to start petty squabbles over labels or inconsequential structure differences, this is probably not the roleplay for you.

Asgarnia: The Gates of Freneskae and its development team are dedicated to presiding over and hosting roleplay in the geographical area of Asgarnia. Our goal goes beyond this, however, and we desire to create a welcoming environment that combines professionalism with creativity.

Rules for General Roleplayers



If you are seriously interested in joining this group then you are expected to conduct yourself like a respectful, mature adult. That is the only rule that applies to all roleplayers. Failure to exhibit acceptable behavioral affect will result in a swift kick out of Asgarnia.

Falador

The capital region of Asgarnia and the seat of the national government.

Entrana

A holy island to the south of Taverly. Host of the Abbey of St. Edward Aren-Grey.

Asperton

The region west of Falador and south of Taverly.

Blackmarch

The region north of Falador.

Rimmington

A peaceful region to the south-west of Falador. A quiet town with not much ado.

Port Sarim

A bustling port in the center of Southern Asgarnia. Presided over by Lord Viktor Valengale.


Catherby

A recently acquired fishing village, normally in the domain of the Kingdom of Kandarin.

Hierarchy



The rank structure for Asgarnia. The Queen is the highest rank in the land (excluding Saradomin), followed by the Head of House Grey, then the Ambassador, and finally the General. Note that all four positions are considered admin/development team positions, and thus players in those positions are held to the higher standards of administrators.


Saradomin

God of Order. Lives in Falador. Asgarnia’s mortal occupants will not be interacting with him directly.


Queen Fiore Grey

Absolute monarch of Asgarnia. Answers only to Saradomin and her own conscience. Responsible for leading the Asgarnian admin/development team, directing team members, and assumes overall responsibility for the roleplay group. Played by Aerisop Aren.


Lady Jane Grey

The former monarch of Asgarnia and the current leader of House Grey. Responsible for coordinating events, scheduling roleplay and ensuring a healthy amount of activity is present. One of two chief story writers for Asgarnia, the other being TBA.


Ambassador - TBA

Responsible for maintaining diplomatic relations with other groups, and organizing roleplay to that effect. Will be given tasks by the Queen to carry out and will be expected to fulfill the role of a diplomat without complication.


General - TBA

Responsible for maintaining a healthy military force. Tasked with organizing roleplay revolving around Medieval army/navy life, and defending Asgarnia.

The Holy Kandar Empire

Held in below average standing. The Empire has numerous religious and cultural similarities to Asgarnia, however the Empire also occupies lands that are traditionally regarded to be Asgarnian.


Kingdom of Misthalin

Held in fair standing. The Kingdom of Misthalin has fallen far since its peak under the Lansings of the Fifth Age. Perhaps the new Queen Miranda will be able to restore diplomatic ties between the two nations.


The White Knights

Held in good standing and regarded as Saradomin’s faithful knights.


The Desert

Unknown

Application System



New Members

Asgarnia will not use the typical application system that you are familiar with. Instead, characters who wish to join should submit an in-character letter here on the forums, to the Queen, stating their name, interest in becoming a citizen of Asgarnia, faith, and experience. If you are familiar with letters of intent then this is essentially a short version of such a letter.

After the letter is received and read a date and time will be organized for an introduction roleplay, and if your character is accepted by the Kingdom they can begin their life anew in Asgarnia.


Returning / Current Members

For those members of the last two variations of Asgarnia, citizenship is automatically extended to your characters and your names will appear on the census. If you wish to be removed from the census, please leave a message on this thread and your name will be taken off.




TAKE NOTE - Some characters that held leadership positions in the last two variations of Asgarnia have had their position revoked, and have been placed on the census with the job title of “Former (title)”.
