I don't ignore roleplay regarding you, Pyro. I just ignore you. And I've given you the same reason for years.

Furthermore, it'd be the pot calling the kettle black if said, "I do not condone ignoring roleplay" or "I have never ignored roleplay" or "I think people who ignore roleplay" are stupid.

Speech delivered to the Ardougnans by Vectis II

"Fellow countrymen, cobblers, Armsmen, blacksmith, and innkeepers! Peasant, noble, merchant, and squatter! Lend me your ears! Many of you have heard the fired up speeches of the Aerendyl Pretender. Perhaps some of you can sympathize with him and for that you hope to gain a sense of accomplishment or reward for helping him betray your forefathers, but I am going to tell you a story and even more, I'm going to give you a reality.

Once there was an elf, whose determination to eradicate evil saw him faced with a daring and bold move against the most vile of rulers whispered about to this day. He was the Emperor, and the only Emperor who had sat on the throne of Kandarin here at the Sunlit Hall. Anyway, this elf, seeing a chance to topple the regime of this Emperor, did so with vigour and bravery- however, he did not prepare himself for the aftermath of the revolution. In fact, his only ambition was to replace this vile Emperor with himself and from there on usher in some sort of enlightenment that would rebuild Ardougne to its oldest glory. However, the pressures of being the King, the toll being a leader took on this young elf, and he casted himself from the battlements of our castle and into the banks of the Dougne where his life washed away from him into that river from a morbid suicide. Such is the tale spoken by the Pretender of his grandfather, Alexander 'the Wise'?"

Where was the Pretender when Witchaven was attacked by the Zamorakian's? Where was he when pests overran the town and terrorized it's denizens. Where was he when Hemenster was besieged by rebels and brought unrest to the dukedom. I'll tell you who was there! Tyrek Vekon! House Vekon! And this Pretender of House Aerendyl would paint a picture to foreigners just to sit upon the Crimson Throne in all his fabricated glory. He claims you are a shackled people by our family? You would be shackled to surrender to his whims. You would watch as the King of Ardougne suppressed your dignity with his own ambitions. .„¸¸,.·` |

I am absolutely dedicated to this, and I have no intention of giving up on something which holds such a great deal of significance to me.

When it comes to dealing with Kandarin's leaders, I've spoken to them with courtesy and maturity, and remained in contact. I've responded to their questions, and given pertinent notice of my intentions. There will be no preplanned outcome, because that is not how public sphere open-ended RP is meant to work. I'm not going to have a repeat of the argument over the principle of open-to-challenge land use that has dogged us recently, however those principles are the ones I stick to, and those I use to justify my actions here. If the situation was reversed, honestly, I think there'd be far less protest to Justin launching a reconquest for the Vekon against me.

Another thank you to Justin for the maturity he's shown here, and I'm happy to talk to Kandarin's admins whenever they're ready to discuss the details on how we're going to move ahead here. I trust that can be done without any abundance of drama, I have good faith in you to do that.

We actually had to force him out of the King's seat OOC because he was so dedicated to his project that he wasn't ready to let his heir take over. I know criticisms can be leveled at Tom, and at us, for that (we've heard them all), but you can't doubt the dedication. Well, you could, but you'd be wrong. Having worked alongside Tom that time, it was one of those rare occasions when he wasn't on a power trip. It was passion.

I understand the wording perfectly, its not difficult to recognize excuses when you see them. You might argue semantics but the end result is that same. I wonder how long you will argue for acknowledging tom if he actually gets a force that could take Kandarin, though of course I'm sure that will be attributed to something else that happens in the meantime.

But if it is my personal presence in that rp that causes you such trouble then I've no doubt you will be happy to continue it properly if I agree to stay out of it and let other people who you have no problem with act in my stead. "The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"
