I don’t really see anything wrong with the state of w42. People are still rping and having fun with people that they WANT to interact with. There has always been some form of divide or cliques within w42. Not going to name any names but it’s a trend that has been going on for years, only difference is it is much more noticeable now with how small the community is (And or course the multiple sets of POKs). If there was anyone to blame for the state of the community it is the game itself, it no longer attracts the surge of fresh players (possible roleplayers) to our doors anymore. That tied together with countless rpers departing over the years (mainly because of life and not drama) does not leave the community much room for growth. The downfall has been going on for awhile and will continue to go as such.

So just enjoy whatever time this community has left however you choose to c:

Popped in on a whim again, and... this thread amused me greatly. It's great to see people keep on keeping on because that's worked, right ? I'm a defeatist. I left. I'm four years gone.

For those of you that don't know or remember me, that's fine. That's fine. Tl;dr, I started in 2012, so I missed the "good old days" in a community that spends most of its time looking back.

In the world of RSRP, I regularly spent my time with smaller groups... outside looking in, as it were... and that offered me perspective on the rare occasions I chanced wading through the metaphorical pond scum to test the water. I felt unclean. Especially whenever I brushed up against any of the cliquey bullshit that's baked into the very nature of this community.

Although I agree with the OP on what's wrong, what needs to be done, I do not share their optimism. There's been no real effort to deal with grievances. They're aired, and then nothing happens except more tribalism, ostracism and immaturity.

(Also, Juan, I disagree. Compared to what I remember, the number of cliques seem to have coalesced into fewer but more divergent groups.)

I give the OP real credit, but I don't see the point. You lot are stuck in your ways.

Not relevant to the particularly colourful segment above, but I'm now looking for people whom seem to be new or haven't really made contact with the main community strongly to encourage more people in and to tutor them should they need it, and depending on numbers I may even try to make a little group from that, trying to keep all this OOC bull away from it if I can.

Yes, another tribe will form, you're correct OP, and I'm sorry but at this point, defeatism is pretty abundant, that's what I can tell. I respect your optimism, it shows passion and at this time that's highly sought after.

but at least we'll have fun, maybe occasionally interact with other groups. I'd like to make it a sort of light-contact group where we interact with different canons without messing up our own or their story.

We'll see how it goes.

I'd be more than happy to lend my time and roleplay to whatever it is you want to get going.
I remember seeing you say something about Morytania somewhere, and to be honest, that's my favorite place on Gielinor.

That goes for literately anyone as well. I've put my demons to rest around here a long time ago and I'm just here for the roleplay. Catch me in game sometime, and lets start building something beautiful and getting back to what we love about this world.

I have given thought to try and reinvigorate the roleplay within Morytania, otherwise if there is no interest, I won't bother... As it stands there is a discord server for it but it's been dead for months after me and Sadi just got tired of people not turning up for events.

Otherwise I'll probably try something a little less tied down, as I explained above, I'd like to tutor people who would be considered newbies so they can easily integrate with other roleplays in the future, especially since the community from what I can tell is slowly leaking roleplayers, or at least is stable but with little incoming people.
