I gotta say this, totally with you on the, to put it more subtly than you did "Contribute or be quiet" thing... Pretty sure that's one of the problems you issued initially. I would advise not being so... colourful with your responses though.

Feels bad man, I was trying to get Morytania roleplay up and running again recently but didn't elicit a big response. Was thinking of trying to regain interest for it but... well... To be fair I made a discord for it and nothing came of it. now and that the Vampyre quests are done, it feels almost redundant to roleplay there.

That quote is what came to mind today, as I went through this thread. Many of you have gone on the offensive, arguing that Keikyo’s anonymity makes all his viewpoints invalid. You have done the complete opposite and just strengthened his claims, with the idiocracy we have before this forum currently lashing out in fear of an individual “breaking ranks”.

I wholeheartedly agree with the majority of what Keikyo has expressed here - more so, he was damn right to call every single one of us, including myself. Not a single person here is innocent being facetious, or prideful, or tribalistic, or whatever else. I admit to being facetious and prideful at times, and how it has hindered what I wanted to acomplish.

The overwhelming majority of us here are supposed to be mature adults, yet we type here like petulant children. Maybe we should put that damned energy towards resolving all our outstanding issues?

Could I have handled the takeover of Kandarin better? - Yes.
Could negotiations for an agreed handover been successful? - Yes.
Could I have explained my decision in a clearer, quicker fashion? - Yes.

But do I regret my actions? - No.

Am I still prepared to work with everyone and patch up the damage? - Yes*.

Note the asterisk. That is because our window of opportunity to resolve our differences and become a whole community again is closing with each day this standoff continues - and missing it will sure to be a terrible omen for whatever W42’s future could have.

I mean- are we going to act like it's ever not been shit?

We used to be kids with free time that could be spent on hours of fights about fake kingdoms. There was crazy shit that went on. Publicly rp'ed assaults, backstabbing, revenge porn, several faked deaths, doxxing, the time that somebody mailed baby powder to my apartment to make me think they had bioweapons over marrying somebody's IC crush, the tragic involvement of player/forum mods, etc etc.

The drama wasn't occasional- it was always there. We all just grew up and got tired of it, and we got old enough to inject irl politics into it because we were old enough to vote. Runescape is incredibly unwelcoming to roleplayers mechanically (the only mmo where I have to split emotes by sentences, no copy/paste) and there's greener pastures.

I appreciate your attempts and your good intentions, and maybe you'll get somewhere without several alternate versions of PoKs that don't talk to each other. Maybe people might come back if that happens. But I'm hesitant to agree with any thread that applies a pair of rosy lenses to our collective history of being mean to each other.

I sympathise with you, it must've been horrible being threatened as such. I'm also not 100% sure on the revenge porn thing... I either wasn't there, was oblivious or have inadvertently blocked it from my mind. I wanted to make VPN-related joke but honestly that would of been in poor taste, apologies.

Ultimately, yes, I would prefer people not having two PoKs on top of eachother just since that'll reduce numbers for each kingdom and frankly just sort of stands as testament to both side's stubbornness to concede. I know of phrases or quotes like "Be strong, believe in who you are; be strong, believe in what you feel." or "Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.". But at some point you have to pull your finger out and realise "Maybe doing THIS won't positively affect those around me.", considering beyond your immediate circle of roleplayers.
