This side, that side... I'm just here for the roleplay. No one is required to roleplay with anyone else for any reason.

The identity of people does unfortunately, matter. I've heard some seriously messed up things about people and while I dont judge because I dont know the truth, I do know rumors exist for a reason and have some basis in reality.

At the end of the day, I'm just here to play make belive with other people. These kinds of threads and behaviors is why W42 seems so absurd nowadays.

Just my observations.

Wow, you completely ignored the point of both this thread and most of my post. This isn't about the guy that made this thread and it isn't about your personal crusade against alts. Context matters. The super sticky thread was an april fool’s joke that got wayyyyy, wayyyy too out of hand. My bad. It won’t happen again, promise. Also I was taking the piss with Warden because he literally pretended to be the guy who got me into W42 RP. That has also been fixed now.


Now to the meaningful things. You people are heavily reaching for my reasons behind the desire to know who this person really is. I strongly believe that if this person wants for this manifesto to really have an impact, they need to reveal who they are. Quickly learn how to Roleplay on RuneScape!

I don’t care what ‘side’ you’re on. I don’t want to know who you are because of my personal distain for what alt-use can cause in our community. I don’t care about your history on the server. I know like no-other that W42 can very well be an ugly place. Alas, the O in MMORPG brings with it many, many situations in which negative actions towards others are enabled. I don’t care if you were the one on the receiving end of it, or were someone thriving off it. What I care about it the present, because we can’t change who we were in the past.

If you were the bully, show me compassion, empathy and sympathy. If you were never taken seriously, step out the shadows and be proud of yourself. If you were selfish, show me you’ll run through fire for someone else. If you were childish, show me you’ve matured and broadened your perspective. People have the power to change, just sometimes not alone. I speak from the heart that I know that all too well.

If you have had negative experiences with W42 before, be it through your own actions or those of others; Know that you will always be who you are and that no matter who you are, W42 always has a place for you amongst us. I’m not here to hound you to death about who you are. I want to extend a hand to you and say that there are lots of people who will forgive you. Lots of people who will take your words seriously no matter who you are. Lots of people who focus on what happens in the present rather than their past.

It is a passion of preserving W42 that makes us stubborn folks stick around these days. It’s something that still unites us. You clearly share this sentiment, or else you would have not posted this piece of writing. Quickly learn how to Roleplay on RuneScape!

Look back at the person you were when you saw Russia RP in Ardougne and check out the person you’ve become. Your writing shows care, passion and multiple perspectives. I like it and it encourages me to talk to you. Maybe I do want to poke holes in your thoughts, maybe I want to just be yes-men together and nod away. I’m a dreamer and like to talk about change every now and then through obnoxious and long winded rants in public chats, on the forums, in-game and in real life too. W42 is not looking for a Warden, Arenaride or a Keikyo-kun. It’s looking for you.

The community is diverse in personality so do not be cautious about the repercussions of your identity reveal. If If you were hurt before, let people offer a chance to mend and apologise personally. If you hurt before, give people a chance to forgive and grant yourself a chance to apologize. Let flamers flame and haters hate, but you don’t need to hide who you are on W42 to share your opinion and to be who you are. There is a place for everyone here, you included. Give us a chance (again?), please.

Uhhh-- no, that's- that's you continuing to miss the point of this thread. But I guess you don't want to get the point of the thread, you just want to get the name of the person behind it. You can say there's no agenda behind wanting to get the name, but pressing for who they are so hard and completely turning the thread around on them to try and further that is a big tell. I appreciate that they're at least coming out and saying they're an alt built for just the purpose of a critique thread and that's it. No subtle pokes or attempts to angatonize directed at anybody, not even trying to restart themselves, just making a statement. Also, notably, they didn't say that they're quitting or anything, so they're still someone on W42, and they'll continue to be.

Also, off-topic, but yes I'd say that april fool's thread went a bit too far since you went on into the month after April continuing it and claiming it wasn't a joke, but I guess it's good to own up that it was one instead of keeping up the appearance that you just gave up on it.

Yes you legitimately care, but I will stress this again, do you care about the message, or do you care about the person whom is saying it? riddle me this. I did bluntly say, and verbatim:

"That and don’t bother trying to guess who I am, it proves my point as will be stated below, surely you aren’t shallow enough to try and pursue who I am, are you? It will avail you nothing." It was a simple request that I intend to stand by.

A sweeping statement, but my point still stands. I'm not hurt nor am I hurting anyone. I've just observed and realized how fucked this community has become compared to the previous people.

TL;DR I, nor my identity, do not matter, the message however, does matter. Nothing personal, kid
