With Jon presumed dead, Aeldrin and Harius have sailed to Sarim to prepare for the battle at Skipper Point alongside Juros. Having met with the Duke who agreed to lend what could be assumed to be a similar number of troops, they marched to Skipper Point to meet with The Voyager, unaware of the kharidians who had arrived to set up defence already. Jon's father sent his sister, Jon's aunt Elias to command the three hundred kharidian troops in their golden armour, and they met with The Voyager in his chambers, discussing how time was looking like it would repeat itself. Soldiers from Burthorpe surrounded by many Guthixians and soldiers from Kharid surrounded by Zarosians, this had happened many years ago at the ultimatum of the God Wars.

Aeldrin and Harius took the gem that The Voyager had and asked that he hide in the coming battle but he refused, The Voyager watched from a balcony as the first to arrive, the dragon, flew over the tower and landed in the courtyard, freezing them in their place, before burning soldiers to the ground, and the battle had begun.

The architects had massed an army presumably under some kind of trickery or mind control, uanware of the sins they would commit, their army marched over the golden fields of vermillion and towards the castle the dragon had already touched.

The actual architects, the magicians and masters of fire had mastered their magic so much that they could transform themselves into fire and would use this to fly into the castle, flanking Harius and Aeldrin. The two split up in an attempt to trap and crush the dragon by collapsing the towers before running into Juros and his Zarosian troops as well as Wallace Gatsby, the infamous wizard who had returned as some kind of ace up the sleeve for the defenders, though he had fought valiantly to get into the castle against the magicians and was weaker than before.

Outside on the ocean, many more of the defender's soldiers had set up a line of ships to defend against the oncoming warship; The Eternal Tempest, and others of the architect's ships, but men aboard The Hurricane and The Hooded Lady were able to intercept from behind and trap The Tempest in a ring of cannonfire. Still, the cannons hit the tower and the siege was chaos. Though they fought skillfully and bravely, the soldiers of Burthorpe, Sarim, and Kharid, would do little against a dragon.

That was until Alphertal the White dragon, flying all the way from the mountains of Taverly, would arrive, letting a roar out at it's rival, Overtal the Black, down in the courtyard. Juros, Aeldrin and Wallace observed, and even The Voyager did too, but above them in the sky seemed a stranger threat, Gielinor's moon crawled through the sky and soaked up light of the sun; a solar eclipse had begun.

(the battle is still taking place, we had to stop halfway through as most of us had to go offline.)

In the finale, the moon of Zanaris moved towards the sun soaking up the light whilst the heroes battled the army, they failed to trap the dragon and so the two beasts flew up and fought on their own whilst Oliver confronted them on the bridge. Wallace was slain and Oliver revealed that he had been waiting for Jon at the mountain, had killed him and taken the orb, both dragons were in his control, and he let them fight.

Aeldrin and Juros and Oliver fought on the bridge and Oliver called the dragons over with the orbs, Oliver took the gems from Aeldrin as he fell off the bridge but he and the ranger managed to make their way back into the fortress and find Harius, who had found where the vault's entrance was. When they reached the portal of the vault, they were too late to save The Voyager whom Oliver killed with his magic before opening the vault.

Inside the realm of the vault they saw visions of the past and future, including events from the coming sixth age, the staff of armadyl, slisk killing Guthix and wars of the gods, but Oliver was the main threat - he had all twelve gems and his power was growing, but Harius had found the orbs of the dragons and brought them into the vault. This distracted Oliver well enough for A*ldrin to kill him but the dragons were out of control, Harius lost the orbs and they realised that the vault was not inside a seperate dimension as they observed the place seemed to be in some kind of sphere, around them a black void but a physical barrier.

A*ldrin destroyed the gems with the sword and they left The Vault before it would implode, the dragons had soaked up the infinite power and it was too much, they killed eachother and the vault itself. Their deaths ressurected many of the soldiers from Burthorpe and Kharid, Wallace too, but also some of The Phantom Architects - this wave of life would spread as far as the mountains to ressurect Jon.

Wallace, Juros, Harius, and Aeldrin managed to get to the ships before the vault would explode but when it did, it destroyed the castle entirely, turning it black as the moon completely covered the sun, everything went dark for them.

It was only minutes later that they saw the battle was over, the portal inside the castle was destroyed, the Vault was gone. For miles and miles, the fields of vermillion had turned to black, ash, the whole castle was burnt and dead. They had survived, though at the cost of burning so much land. Perhaps this proved to the kings and queens of the world that magic was a threat, and though the vault was gone, there were many threats approaching, likely ones that saw this almost cataclysmic event as some kind of hope for their own evil deeds.

Up in the sky, as the moon moved away from the sun and the solar eclipse ended, the light came back but small dots descended from the moon, meteorites - it came apparent to Wallace that all along The Vault was hidden underground in Zanaris, in the moon. The Vault's destruction had broken a kind of magical barrier allowing for a different kind of threat to descend onto Gielinor.

Name of the Storyline: The Dark Side of Zanaris

Brief description: The aftermath of The Battle of Vermillion has paved the way for new, even darker threats. The first of which comes from the sky, from above the clouds, in the heavens, from the white star and off our moon. Meteorites have fallen to Gielinor forming portals for dark fairies who wish for all kinds of chaos and havoc, but a greater evil is yet to arise from these fairies, whose motives are unclear.

Preferred Character types: All

Genre: Adventure

Goal: To stop the dangerous fairies and ensure their portals to Zanaris are closed, as well as learn what they have come to do, though it is likely that the heroes' motives will change after a great revelation.

Username: Metal Elrond.
Character name: Hollie Goldencrown.
Race: Changeling.
Age: 26.
Gender: Female.
Religion: Saradominist.
Profession: Courier.
Appearance: Hollie stands a slightly short 5’7”. Her hair is light grey, and short, as if crudely trimmed. Her eyes are flickering green. She sports a form-fitting leather outfit, grayed by exposure, and a pair of scuffed shoes. A warm breeze occasionally stirs around her, even on a breezeless day. She appears very casual about things, but always on edge, as if there was a bounty on her head, hunted. However, her true form is hidden by glamour. To those with Faerie Sight, she sports two floppy grey rabbit ears, and a cotton tail, both none too flattering for her tastes. However, her legs gained definition and muscle. Her face is vaguely lagomorphic.
Personality: Hollie is afraid. She tries to not show it, but it inevitably bleeds through her façade. She puts on a good face, as if life was coming up aces, but she’s constantly on the lookout. For whom, no-one knows. Sadness, Fear, and Desire stalk like a trio of wolves in her heart. Sadness in her memory of her family, long since lost, Fear of those Unknown Hunters that prey upon her, even in sleep, and finally Desire, to make lemonade out of life’s lemons, and change her life for the better best as she can.
Strengths: Being a courier, she knows how to be fast. Having been changed in Zanaris, she has gained the agility of a hare, able to run as fast as champion runners. Being fast on foot is one thing; guiding a coach is another. Being kin with animals gives her an edge with animal husbandry, and she knows how to coax the speed from a team of horses. But, her charm doesn’t stop with animals; she also has a certain animal magnetism that draws people to her. She also has a keen sense of direction, and knows the Byways and Trods to the dark side of Zanaris, having navigated them to escape in the first place.

Weaknesses: Hollie, being part Fae, has some weaknesses that can be exploited by the unsavory. Cold Iron -while anathema to the Dark Fae- does not bother her much. However, it will bypass any fae-based magic wards and artifacts she has, be it enchanted armor, or a good-luck spell. Being part beast has taken a toll on her intellect; while certainly cunning and witty, she has difficulty with abstract thought, and making those leaps of genius engendered to humankind. Finally, she has a minor ban on her behavior; she is magically compelled to never eat meat. If she does so, she will gag, and possibly even vomit at the taste of it.
History: Hollie was born in The Farmlands, on a quaint farm. Her childhood was taking care of the horses and cows, and being a fortitudinous farmhand. However, she had dreams of beyond; traveling to Varrock, and becoming a proper noblewoman. Her parents did*’t exactly approve, saying that she was born to be a farmer; it*s what she’s good at. Undeterred, she read up on the gentry of the land, and when she was 16, she sponsored a trip to Varrock herself, with fundraisers of bake sales, and regional fair prize money. She wished her parents and siblings fare thee well, and promised a quick return.
There, she marveled at how the city was so different from the countryside. Enamored, she spotted a noble in a misty grey outfit, clearly crafted for a noble. Drawing closer, she engaged conversation with him. He was so witty and charming with promising her the glamour and engaging life she always wanted, she readily agreed. However, when they entered his private garden, things turned for the worse. The vines climbing the walls grew and thrashed before her eyes, the green garden swallowing them both; a ring of Death Cap mushrooms was the centerpiece of the opulent garden.

Hollie’s time on the dark side of Zanaris is obscure, and difficult to remember; all that she can recall is adrenaline, blinding pain, running through misty forests… and the cages. Those horrible cages… time became liquid, and difficult to discern. She forgot her family, her life back on Gielinor; mind shackled by the tyranny of instinct, the iron reality of the Now. This life was bright, vibrant, and never boring -as promised- but it was a life of survival.
Her memory of Gielinor returned at the smell of blueberries; those blueberry pies baked for the Regional fair’s pie-eating contest. She could never forget that, nor the slightly sweet smell of Morning Glories growing on her houses’ east side. Her memory had returned; she needed to escape. She found her way through the briar patch following boot prints, and stumbled through another ring of mushrooms.
Things looked different; so did she. In the grounded world of Gielinor, she estimated that she was 10 years older than when she was taken. Rushing home on her strong legs, not stopping for a moment, she reached her farm in the middle of night. Climbing the arbor up to her room, she peeked in through the window. Her room looked wildly different; and someone was sleeping there! Investigating, she climbed past, and towards her parent’s room. Wouldn’t they be happy she’s finally come back!

But when she opened the door stealthily, what she saw shocked her; herself sleeping in her parent’s bed, with another man. This… other her, this doppelganger looked to be her exact age, and the man beside her presumably her husband. Fleeing, her heart sinking, she went to the local cemetery, where her worries were confirmed; her parents had both died by the hands of a violent burglar, two weeks before her return.
Now, having to abandon her old name (as if she could even remember it), and take up a new moniker, Hollie Goldencrown aims to leave her old life behind, fueled by a need for revenge, to show that her Keeper did not derail her life. She will make something of it, Zanaris be damned, or she will die trying.
Preferred Storylines: Adventure, Trade, and possibly Romance.
