Two months, it only took two months for a spark to turn into a fire. Following Guthix’s death, a rift split open in the sky above West Ardougne. This brought with it many other smaller rifts, through which came people from other worlds, not all of them friendly. In a vicious attack on Lumbridge, a violent sun-worshipping cult known as the

Solari

invaded and nearly destroyed the town, leaving a crater behind the castle and many casualties.

The

Crimson Templars

already held Asgarnia under the martial law of Supreme Leader

Malak Sorrow

, refusing to allow those graced with a fluctuation in their anima (Gracegiven) and otherworlders to enter their kingdom under punishment of death. However, when Kandarin came out in defense of them after the Battle of Lumbridge, Asgarnia declared war.

Tensions have grown since this act, with a member of the Kandarian Council named

Azaer

struck down the Holy Blade of Asgarnia,

Kaelum Elissium

in a duel.

Spectre

, the head of an extremist group known as

Rust

, has promised a violent end to the Crimson Templars and their leaders.

Meanwhile,

King Andrew and Queen Jaslyn

of House Ares have declared Misthalin a neutral state, refusing to come out on either side yet. Though King Andrew has fallen ill, leaving Jaslyn in charge.

In addition, a mercenary group known as the

Embers

has been gradually growing in power, and gaining a large amount of international influence through their activities.

Behind it all, a secretive science coalition known as

GEAR

, operates discretely, playing each side for whatever gain they can muster.

Otherworld

was a private sandbox rp that ran for four years and sadly came to an end two years ago. This is my effort to revive and reboot this roleplay for future enjoyment! It still has the private sandbox title (This means this Gielinor is not the same as that of public roleplay, think of it as a parallel universe if it helps you.)

The main difference that differentiates Otherworld from public rp is the inclusion of a phenomenon known as Graces. Graces are a sort of magical energy that some people carry inside of them that gives them the ability to do extraordinary things. (Basically a fancy name for superpowers.) There is very little limit as to what a Grace can do, but usually they need to be trained in order to be controlled. For more on Graces, see Page 3.

In addition to Graces there is the additional issue of the giant rift in the sky. This means that races from other worlds are much more prominent here, and we welcome the creation of custom worlds and races!

1. Standard Runescape Roleplaying rules apply, please check here if you are unfamiliar with them.
2. While Graces are designed to be powerful, please try to limit yourself when first starting out.
3. Check the race you chose to make sure they can use a Grace and don’t have a racial power already!
4. 4 Months in real life = 1 year game time.
5. Don't post drunk, please. I swear what's funny to you whilst intoxicated is probably not that funny when sober.
6. Each month is a different season.
