Ugh messed up on my circuits exam.
I got the concept written down correctly
I was given a function that describes current and another function that describes voltage. Part of the question asked for power at t = 1s. So what I did was I multiplied the two functions to get a function for power. All of them had t (time) as a variable. Once I had the function, I plugged in 1s and solved for what power was at 1s. The next part was asking for Energy between t=0 and t=1. I know that power is equal to energy over time, so what one should do is an integral with respect to time of the power function from 1 to 0. The mistake I made was I did a derivative on the function. So what I did next was just completely useless.
The lesson here is to get enough sleep to not make mistakes on an exam.
I never seen someone mention anything on the concept of a derivative or an integral in this thread, so I think I'll take that in two posts or more this weekend.
