however hearing of people removing the "weird" "x app" that randomly turned on their phone. because they arent keeping up with social media news etc. is just another reason as to why this change is a terrible idea. people are now removing "x" because they have no idea what it is.

Typical Musk, doing what he wants and disregarding any laws he doesn't like. Same thing when they took the old Twitter sign/logo down - didn't even bother to rope off the area to reduce risk of injury to passers-by, despite that being mandated.

and it was a huge nuisance
I watched the video of the giant X, it was very bright. If you lived nearby where it could be seen from your windows it would be intrusive and disruptive. Imagine it shining in your bedroom window. Horrible!
