What he's doing for Twitter is fantastic. It's finally a place where free speech is protected unlike some places where if you have the wrong opinion (the politically incorrect opinion) you can have your account banned or deleted.
If we are honest x-political party owned companies, businesses, organizations, etc. Will do whatever they can to suppress or intimidate anyone who doesn't fall in line with certain political views. It's what they did to Trump and it's why Apple is threatening to pull advertisement from Twitter from the Apple Store. Before Elon, it was owned and operated with very x-political party views, now that it's not people are upset, leaving, protesting, and trying to censor one of the few places where free speech is protected on the regular internet.
so just like elon is doing. youve just shown he is not about freedom of speech as hes is silencing the ones who appose him etc
yes apple pulling advertising. as they done want to support a place where white supremacy is allowed. they have the right and the freedom to do so. they are not forced into keeping any advertising contract with twitter. thats freedom. elon crying over them leaving and saying they dont support freedom of speech etc. is hypocrisy its hypocrisy on your part too

So why did Elon ban people who parodied him?
Too many fanbois and fangirlz have drunk the Kool-Aid and think that whatever Elon does must be right, while ignoring his hypocrisy and double standards.
Also: allowing people to say whatever they like is one thing, but expecting everyone else to just sit there and see/listen to material they find offensive or abhorrent - or to see their products appear beside such material - was always unrealistic in the extreme. Watching Elon get all butthurt about it is one of the most amusing parts of the whole Twitter takeover saga.
definitely its quite an interesting show when they come up to try and defend him or say he is doing a "good" or even "fantastic" job its kind of hilarious
Meanwhile, Elon got a lecture from the EU recently as well... along with a threat to shape up (in terms of content moderation and the removal of disinformation) or face a ban in the EU and/or a fine of 6% of its annual turnover.
Twitter is also expected to undergo an independent compliance audit in 2023.
Maybe the EU should host a poll to see what the public think. Judging by the comments they probably won't like the results.
The age of chivalry is gone; that of sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded, and the glory of Europe is extinguished forever.

You think that the requirement to comply with the law should be conditional on a popularity contest? LOL.

Musk needs taking down a peg or two. He's an extremely rich, entitled, egotistical man who may be very intelligent but has little common sense. I remember him getting angry when he was told a rigid mini submarine wouldn't be any use rescuing the boys trapped in flooded caves.

Today the mask slipped for a few of his (now ex) supporters, as he dared to at least remove some harmful content. Of course, he only did this due to pressure and not because he believed it was the right thing to do. He sat on it for hours doing nothing. What a mess this whole situation is; give it a few more weeks and he will probably sell for a loss.

he bought twitter for 4x what it was worth anyway. so yeah no matter it would be a loss
what im really hoping is the original people who sold it for 44b now say they will buy it off him for 2b or something. that would just be sweet

He also reinstated the account of a notorious neo-Nazi banned back in 2013 - the founder of the Daily Stormer.
