Just found it but it says its from 2022. Is that the same film?
edit to add: just watched the trailer and I've added it to my watch list. I'll probably watch it later this afternoon

I watched
Red
2008 yesterday. I enjoyed it very much.
@ Rooh.Thank you for mentioning it in this thread. I'd probably never have found it without your post. :)

You're very welcome, I've watched quite a few things that people have recommended here :)

I watched more X Files last night, I find it very hit & miss - some episodes are really gripping but others are a bit slow and dull.
I always love the relationship between Mulder and Scully though and both are terrific actors.

But Rooh..........
If i ever find out you have watched the new Barbie movie, you're deleted!!!!!

There is absolutely no chance whatsoever that I'll be watching that :P
Firstly... well, it's a Barbie movie... but I also have an aversion to Ryan Gosling.

Last night I re-watched
Free Guy

Loads fun and lots of "in jokes" for gamers.

I've binged all 3 seasons of
The Orville
(2017-2022) over the last few days.

Initially clearly intended to be a fun take-off of Star Trek as much as anything else, but the humour - while always present - takes second place in seasons 2 & 3. Like the original Star Trek, all three seasons manage to cover some fairly serious social issues as well - here ranging from gender assignment and inter-racial (inter-species) dating to ingrained prejudice, slavery, and the moral arguments surrounding genocide.

The cast are all decent, and the scripts are good - and in one or two places, outstanding. There are also appearances by a lot of surprisingly big names, including Liam Neeson, Charlize Theron, and Dolly Parton (!), with regular supporting appearances by the likes of Ted Danson and Kelly Hu as well. The special effects can be a little cheesy (possibly deliberately), but get better as the show goes on.

All in all, a solid 8/10.

Last night I watched a really good film from 2008:
Red

I rather like the 2010 movie
RED
('Retired, Extremely Dangerous') and its 2013 sequel,
RED 2
- Bruce Willis as a retired CIA agent who suddenly has a target on his back, with stellar supporting casts including Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones and... Brian Cox, confusingly.

Both movies are absolute romps, great fun.

I loved the first series, but IMO it became a bit dull once it got more serious.
There are countless space/sci-fi shows, the comedy made it special.
