ANother old favourite for me last night: Taken (2008)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501
"... but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you..."
That's an excellent film. It started me watching films with Liam Neeson in them.
I watched
A Muppet Christmas Carol
with my eldest son. We paused the dvd at the point where the song When Love Has Gone was edited out watched that bit on Youtube then restarted the dvd. The film makes more sense with that song included.
We then went on iplayer to watch
A familiar story (I won't mention it though as I don't want to spoil anything) with a great (if a tad predictable) twist.
Richard E Grant and Rosamund Pike absolutely steal the show.

"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain"
last night but it was so bad I had to switch it off =/
Blatant ripoff of so many other films, including Star Wars and The Magnificent Seven (which was of course a ripoff of Seven Samurai)
3/10

Rocky 4. The definitive Rocky.
The age of chivalry is gone; that of sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded, and the glory of Europe is extinguished forever.
I've just binged the best TV mini-series I've seen in a long time:
Mr. Bates vs The Post Office
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27867155
"...Based on true events, one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in British legal history where hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses were wrongly accused of theft, fraud and false accounting..."
It's a lot more interesting than the title and description would suggest, it's
really
good.

Just saw the trailer for the upcoming new Godzilla movie. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. I plan on going to see it when it is released.
Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.
Ekki hugsa alltaf að ég sé friðsælt vegna þess að ég veit ekki hvernig á að vera ofbeldi.
"In 1972,Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, chartered to fly a rugby team to Chile, crashes on a glacier in the heart of the Andes.
Only 29 of the 45 passengers survived the crash and finding themselves in one of the world's toughest environments, they are forced to resort to extreme measures to stay alive."
8/10 from me, highly recommended.
