^ you are incorrect with ur new start allowance bookkeeping tho. I'm not sure on the exact numbers but I sorta know what I'm talking about... if someone on new start receives $320 per week, they only pay $80 a week rent... it doesn't matter if the studio is $200 a week or $300 a week. Not only Newstart recipients, but even workers, should, only pay, no more than 25% of their income on rent.
If you are on new start or working, and u are paying more than 25% of your income on rent, speak to dept. Housing. They will help.
So, newstart recipients receive $320 per week, pay $80 a week on a $300 a week studio, don't pay to get to and from work... once u include other subsidies, like lower electricity, and gas, they're practically doing better than me.
Life sucks. And I'm sick of seeing fit young 18, 19, 20, 21 yr old geniuses protesting on the street preventing me from driving the truck! (Not that protesters have ever actually stopped me, but I've seen it happen on tv
