This doesn't surprise me:

CNN: WHO team blocked from entering China to study origins of coronavirus.
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/05/china/china-blocks-who-team-coronavirus-intl-hnk/index.html

Also why wasn't this virus looked into back when it first started spreading around the world. Why now has the cause got WHO'S interests at heart?? <- this makes me wonder.... I have always felt it was man made...

I seem to remember reading several months ago that the WHO were prevented from investigating the outbreak in early 2020. It doesn't surprise me they've been turned away again. :|

Yeah this "pause" in my state is really getting to me as well. My productivity levels at work (... at my home office) have plummeted in the last month. I'm even being lazy in my personal life. I just am apathetic towards a lot of things, because it just feels like the same day every single day with no end in sight.

Like you said, there are vaccines now and that should inspire hope...but it just doesn't. I get that it doesn't really matter if we are in a lockdown or not as the virus will rage on regardless, but it just is getting to me this time.

I know the feeling. I'm very used to working from home, but it does drive you mad after a while. It doesnt help with motivation if the people above you genuinely cant tell if you're working or not.
Then again, with the lockdown thing, 'how do i stay out of the pub' is a problem that solves itself.

I don't mind working from home, it is that I am home all the time. No plays, no museums, no play dates, no shopping (other than groceries), no indoor sport activities, no nothing. There doesn't seem to be any reprieve from being home all the time.

And, yeah, this time around I definitely am slacking off. I also automate and write programs to do a lot of my work so my output looks great. It is really hard to stay productive.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

The problem is coming out of lockdown to soon, far too soon. Even WHO said don't make the mistake of coming out of lockdown to soon many months ago. Sadly most countries didn't take the advice.

If you do it right this time round, grind it out it will benefit your countries wellbeing and social life and getting back to work. Sadly a lot of financial hardship will happen, loss of businesses. If you go strong and for longer and do it properly you may not have another full lockdown and with the vaccines it could all workout well, it's up to individuals to go hard and strong for it to work and for the lockdown to stay in place longer than what you think is needed so you can get your freedom back...
If fat means flavour then I'm ******* delicious!

So far I have seen hundreds of local businesses shut down and even some bigger regional chains being shut down. To be fair, our malls and physical retail buildings have been on the decline well before this pandemic though. I also think everyone can plainly see that the pandemic magnified unrelated issues in America and I really don't know if we can recover from it all.

It just seems like the perfect storm.

Edit: extra double word

The Chief Medical Officer for England has already stated that restrictions may be required next Winter. I guess that speaks volumes about the expected vaccination uptake. 'Freedom Passports' could well become reality, especially for those who wish to travel abroad. Low on bank space? Click here .

I'm in England and I'm looking forward to being invited to have the vaccination. The sooner the better but at my age I'm in group 7 at the moment. I will be in group 5 after my next birthday so I'm hoping I will get jabbed with that group.
