It's great to see the global cases coming down throughout 2021. As we all know, more and more people are getting vaccinated each day, including the effort to mask up (even double masking). Holiday gatherings are over and the vaccine rollout is gradually picking up. We are starting to see the light at the end of this tunnel. For now, we can only continue to hope for the better. There is a definite glimpse of hope - that things will get back to normal soon.
We all need to work together to beat this pandemic. Do your share folks
Stay safe.
That's what we need, a bit of positivity
Things do seem to be looking up, although I remain cautiously optimistic
The US seem to be doing pretty well with vaccine rollout right now, same with the UK so it's great to hear that in certain areas between 80%-100% of all vulnerable people have already received their first vaccine dose, and are soon to be receiving their second with some already getting it!
I've enjoyed the group Pub Quiz zoom calls through this but, I can't wait to have a party with friends again, to visit an unlimited number of family members and friends in a short time frame, head out to a bar for some food and a drink

I agree, it’s important to know where the numbers are coming from, I made that much clear in my post immediately above yours.
I know, I had started typing up my response before you had made the additional post. lol.

it’s worth mentioning that the death rate, ICU capacity & hospitalizations are also down (which would be separate to the lower testing rate).
You're right, and I thought it was worth mentioning too:

The determining factor should be the death rate, which has gone down drastically.
Take Canada for example:
The number of cases has gone up drastically compared to the first wave, yet, the number of deaths has gone down. The number of deaths for the second wave were less than the number of deaths in the first wave. The number of cases in the second wave were around 10x the amount in the first wave, yet, the deaths were lower.

Do we need to go over this again?

You keep circling back to the same statement, and then claim:
Original message details are unavailable.
And at this point, round and round we go...
As though I'M the one circling back. LOL
What are you doing dude? Circling back for another round again?

I am listening to exactly what you’re saying.
Clearly not. You're even presenting the same information to me, as though you're telling me something new... when I've already addressed that exact point... because you now think "it's worth mentioning"... when it wasn't even worth reading before, was it? LOL
I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great!
I used to like reading this thread. But it has just became a tooing and throwing between Joel and Nex.
Of course this is maybe allowed but it has ruined the thread!
The pair of you need to stop this shit, it is boring.
Remember Caz. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Here's some stuff related to what we have been discussing recently:
Quarantine Act & Constitutional VIOLATIONS? Viva in the Street UPDATE

This is a single video from a long string of updates that revolve around the Quebec Curfew and other Canadian based restrictions surrounding the outbreak, from the perspective of a Canadian Lawyer living in Montreal under the curfew.

Post above removed. You know to use FMR should you have an issue with the way any moderation has been carried out so please feel free to raise it there, rather than try to discuss what you assume our moderating procedures are here.
But I think you'll find not one of your posts (until now) has been removed or censored for having a certain opinion and neither have you been forced to agree with any given point of view, that has been made clear countless times.
What you have been asked to stop doing is misrepresenting in certain situations with the use of harsher than necessary language to exaggerate or make things appear more than what they are in attempt to stoke fear, not for the opinion itself.

This is good vibes
We need more good vibes! What sorts of things have people done during this time that you never would have done if life just kept ticking as normal?
I mentioned Pub Quiz zoom calls, it's funny because I've been in more contact with more of my UK friends back home than at any point (excluding before I moved away) so that's been pretty nice
