Well we're definitely not "on track" to meet the officially stated level of vaccines per week here in the UK. This is mainly, it would seem, due to lack of supply.

A problem shared worldwide apparently.

We are, however, doing significantly better than Europe, America & Canada. Maybe because we started earlier so the administration of it all is starting to mesh.

I was at the supermarket yesterday in the meat aisle, I picked up the meat I was buying, turned towards the bundle of bag to put the meat in, when at that exact same time this middle age man did the biggest cough I'd ever seen, it was so dramatic, it was big, it was loud, it was right over the bags and meat. As he coughed he bent his body in half all the way down to the bundle of bags and meat, just about touching everything, he was so close to everything. He did have his elbow up, I'm not convinced it protected everything from his germs.

I turned around and got the bag from the veggie area.

I wondered after that, had he escaped from isolation or quarantine? Did he have covid and recovered and was hoping to spread it just incase of a false negative? Was he just being a jerk??

If covid was in our community I would have reported him. I wonder if I should have anyway, as it was not appropriate or safe.

Just read an article where a woman who'd been in self isolation for 14 days, as she's returned from Europe. Anyway her and her husband have been traveling around the North Island with Covid, they went to numerous shops, I mean shit loads spreading this disease <- all it takes is one person, one mistake. I'm not sure how she got out of isolation with the virus, she must not have been having her covid tests throughout her stay. I believe she is innocent. At least she had a record of all the shops she went to.

I hope that man who coughed all over the meat hadn't been in contact with her.

Its really worrying that she'd completed the quarantine, had 2 negative tests and the symptoms didn't show until afterwards. She did everything she was asked to do to try and make sure she wasn't bringing the virus into the country.

Something Ive noticed where I live is a decent minority of people wearing their masks wrong.
Like with their nose out?

I cant help wondering why. Surely you would be better off with no mask at all?
'Mask worn wrong' seems like the worst possible option.

Yup, used to see it a lot whenever I was at the supermarket (before this current lockdown).

Also noticed rather a lot of peoples' masks - the blue one-use type) looked .... grubby.
Wonder how many times they'd used them and how full of bacteria multiple uses of one-use masks could get ..... yuk!

I'm more concerned about this 12 weeks delay between getting 1st jab and 2nd jab which is being implemented here. The makers of the vaccine say the gap should be 21 days. Scientists are saying it should be about 21 days. No other country in the world (that I'm aware of) is advocating more than 21 days.

But Brits are being left for 12 weeks between jabs - apparently so more people can get the first one. Not much sodding use if they don't get the second one within the timescale to give optimum protection.

Not that I've had even my first one yet ..... despite Ministers showboating on our total numbers inoculated there seems an incredible disparity in who and what postcode have been lucky (?).

I live in Kent, the alleged genesis point of the much publicised 'UK Variant' and with a massive infection rate. But there's no vaccination hub here just a few random, scattered GP surgeries :|

They are listening to the science though. Just ignoring what they hear!
