Had a chuckle this morning, with my two adopted daughters. Was having my morning coffee when I looked out and saw them planting candy corn in one of the flower beds. So going tonight when they are asleep to put some candy bars and tootsie pops where they planted the candy corn.
I love that idea! Please let us know their reaction when they see their "plants".
Edit to add; I've bought some winter flowering pansies and 3 white cyclamen to put in the garden. They're sitting in pots in my back garden to acclimatise to their new home for a few days then I'll put them in the ground....fingers crossed for good weather at the end of the week or at the very least no rain.

Megycal, it was priceless. My husband and I got woke up at 7:30 in the morning by them coming in with Daddies, Daddies, the candy grew.

My lemons have really shot up. Anyone know of anywhere I could order some decent pots to separate them in online? Surely online shopping for gardening has become more of a thing. :L
Halp pl0x
Also enjoy the pic lol
I wasn't expecting all of them to sprout so I know a few of them are probably too close together. I wanted them to be a little more established before I traumatize them by separating them. Hopefully without casualties. (I'm new at this)

If you are in the UK. B&Q or B&M do a selection of pots.
Also Amazon do an amazing selection of pots of all sizes.
Hints and tips while replanting. Wait till they have 4-6 leaves. Grab a bottom leaf and get a pencil and dig around the seedling. When it's out use the pencil to dig another hole in the pot you want it in and pop in then firm in with the pencil.
Do the same for the others and jobs done for a few months till they need a bigger pot. Just don't go too big or they will suffer.
Jobs for me if the weather holds is cut down all my gladioli. They have tuned in for the Winter. I may even dig them out and split them up a bit. I have way too many lol.

I know a few of the lemons have sprouted in practically the same space, and I read on the googles that I'd probably have to separate them to ensure they all make it, but I don't want to like, kill them in doing so. I really wasn't expecting so many to sprout.
So, a few leaves on each plant before removing? I have the one currently (you can probably spot it) that is RIGHT next to another, bigger plant and I think its growth may be a bit stunted. Any tips for that? I know seedlings can be quite delicate :L

Aww. That's so sweet. I doubt I'd have been able to stop myself from laughing if I'd done that with my sons.
My house plant orchid is flowering again. Its a bit later than usual because during lockdown I wasn't able to get the orchid food and had to wait for garden centres to open again. I don't know what type it is but it must be the easiest one to look after or I'd have killed it by now.
All I know is that it has white flowers with yellowish centres.
I planted the pansies and cyclamen today. I hope they all survive.
The orchid you described Megycal, sounds almost like a Cattleya Orchid Hybrid. But I would not know for certian until I seen a picture of it.
