Oh yeah just got a call a half an hour ago from the Warden of the Prison I used to work at. Got approval to take a select group of inmates this spring and start a communal garden on the prison grounds.

Most of the harvest will be donated to the local food bank, and what is not donated will be used in the mess hall.
Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

That is an amazing thing to do. Being outside is good for health.

I dug out a book on house plants and my orchid is probably a Phalaenopsis aka Moth orchid. A few years ago it produced a shoot with a baby orchid on, I think its called a keiki. I ought to remove it but I'm worried I'll kill the main plant too. This "baby" is also producing flowers so next spring I will grit my teeth and just go for it.
I can't add pics because I've no idea how to do it. :P

Yesterday I cut down all my gladioli. Around 100 of them. Strange thing is I only planted 30 at first 2 years ago. Anyway due to them pushing themselves up out of the soil I dug them out today and dug a trench deep enough for them. Put them back in and added about 40 daffodils in between them. Should be a good display for Spring and now Summer.

Really speaking I should have dug the gladioli up and dried them for storage. I'm just too lazy for that. Besides deep enough they will survive a hard frost.

I just have another 4 trenchs 8 feet by 2 feet by 6-8inch deep to dig where the rest of my gladioli are over the next few days as long as there is no rain. :P Also hope my back survives. It's not too good lol.

I don't have very much experience with gardening yet, but I really want to garden someday. I live in an apartment currently and don't have any space outside to plant stuff, though I do have a few house plants.

This is my cactus

And my jade plant

And I'm very sad to say that my dog ransacked my other succulent.
It's my first time having a dog but I should've been more careful, I tried to replant it and everything but I'm not sure it's going to thrive. I may try to replant it better one more time because I think the roots are too deep. It's very small.

I really love this plant, the colors are so pretty.

:(

edit: I got it planted way better, the roots appear to be intact at least so fingers crossed.

That sounds so cool, I wish I had a flower garden.

I went mad again and bought some more bulbs.

I bought 50 tall Tulips and 30 tall Daffodil bulbs. They were on offer in B&Q less then half price. Had to get them. :P

I plan now on taking the grass off the center of the garden and planting the daffodil bulbs in the center and the Tulpis around them and grass back on. Should be a nice display in Spring hopefully.

These are the LAST bulbs I'll be buying lol. Honest.

PS. Just checked my outside tubs and the tulips are showing all ready. It'as just way too mild a year.

Just planted the last Spring bulbs in the center of my garden.

Marked out the center and dug the grass off and planted the daffs in the middle and the Tuplips around them. Should make a nice display in the Spring.

Now I just need a new back. Mine is so broken now. Pain was that bad I saw them sparking stars above my head lol.

Well over 2,000 Spring bulbs planted now. Well over £500 at a guess.

They had better grown or I'll be pissed.

Pictures soon. :P

@ Tuffty. I hope you have a wonderful display of spring bulbs next year! :) I also hope your back has improved. A bad back is no joke.

I pulled up some snapdragon plants this afternoon. They had finally got damaged by frost. I'm surprised they had flowered for so long! The winter flowering pansies I planted a couple of weeks ago all survived and are providing a welcome splash of colour.
