Seriously?

Broken compass? How about Brokeback Mountain or when most men do it that way to women, according to the fashion magazine 'Maire Claire', an uprising trend.
God (no matter what belief) told us? God made Bonobos for sure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonobo
Oh and I'm hetero, so I am not a raging LGBT.

How's it going, guys?

Thank you for your responses!

I'll gradually reply to your posts, please give me some time! I'm midway through completing my thread and filling in the reserves, took me half a day! :(

Don't worry, I've had a look at your discussions, some very valid points from some people!

Assignments and exams are coming up, so I might have to reduce my time on the forums til June is over.

I am not sure if you have this information:

Georgina Beyer (born November 1957) is a New Zealand politician and former Labour Party Member of Parliament. She was the world's first openly transsexual mayor, as well as the world's first openly transsexual Member of Parliament. She is also among a very small number of former sex workers to hold political office. <- information from Wikipedia and I can guarantee the information to be true.

Four sets of traffic lights along Cuba Street in Wellington's central business district are fitted with green pedestrial lights depicting Rupe. The lights were installed in August 2016 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Homosexual Law Reform Act.[15]

Carmen Rupe, born Trevor Rupe and often simply known as Carmen (10 October 1936 – 14 December 2011) was a New Zealand-Australian drag performer, brothel keeper, anti-discrimination activist, would-be politician, and HIV/AIDS activist.[1] She was a transgender woman.

When I was reading the timeline of LGBT history, I consulted a few articles. Also, I referenced it against Wikipedia to see if any were missing but even Wikipedia missed out on some significant events in LGBT history.

I might've missed it, Dong, but thank you so much for being a super champion and informing me of this! Are you from NZ? I love kiwis, I live with one and I feel like many of my friends are kiwis.

Also, I remember that one youtube video where the NZ Parliament started singing when same-sex marriage was ruled in favour for. They gave flowers to a particular parliamentary member, was she the one? I absolutely loved that video!

I'm not trying to sound offensive with this, but from personal experience, LGBT people, particularly trans folks, don't seem to really know how to deal with being treated like a person.

I don't necessarily blame them for it, but in the past there have been trans people who have come to me saying that they're trans and for me, it isn't a big deal. I've had some of them get mad at me because I'm not enthusiastic enough about their coming out to me as trans. I get that it's a big deal to them, but to me they're just people.

What you do with your body is entirely your business. I'll support you regardless but man... ;-;

Oh another thing, they've flown off the handle at me for calling them 'dude' or 'bro' even though they see me literally call everyone that. I even say it to my mother. I don't mean to label you a guy.

Ugh.

It's frustrating for everyone.

I'm not trying to rant tho.

Title changed, as requested, Chief Elf.

Edit:
Saddha, please remove the specific sexual reference in your post above.

Done. I used a very mild description though. No child/ minor would understand the reference. Plus it is important to understand that men are requesting this from women, yet being negative about it. That is just absurd.

• Share your experiences dealing with, encountering, or witnessing discrimination against LGBT persons.
never witnessing this kind of discrimination myself

• What is your country/society's attitudes towards the LGBT community?
strictly against it traditionally and most people still dont like them or cannot accept them
There are tomboy everywhere
gay is seemingly becoming more common in my country and people start to accept crossdressers (otoko no ko and tomboy)
and there are a lot of Fujoshi(rotten girl), those girl who love Boy's Love stuff

• What are your opinions on Gay Marriage? Is it legal in your country?
I am okay but it is illegal in my country
btw, I am male counterpart of Fujoshi

• What is something you wish society could understand about LGBT?
let me think and reply later on this

• Do you believe that homosexuality is caused by genetics or environmental factors?
people say homosexuality is not inherited because they wont be able to produce offspring (if they only choose what they love)

• Is there an adequate representation of LGBT in the media (including gaming industries)?
I love otoko no ko and tomboy and there is a lot of photo and news reports, articles of otoko no ko and tomboy I can find in my culture's Internet

• What're your views on gender-neutral bathrooms?
support

• Share your experiences dealing with, encountering, or witnessing discrimination against LGBT persons.

Most of my experiences of discrimination against LGBT people come from school. Then again kids are kids.

• What is your country/society's attitudes towards the LGBT community?

Generally very good and tolerant due to great strides being made not just here, but also the world as a whole due to cultural advancements. But what saddens and infuriates me is that there are some people who cling to old superstitions that being homosexual is a sin and/or danger to society (a Conservative MP actually said the latter in a speech in front of a college). While I'm happy that progress has been made in great strides when it comes to tolerance, I feel that this progress is slipping a little here and in other places, due to some propaganda being churned out.

• What are your opinions on Gay Marriage? Is it legal in your country?

I have absolutely no qualms about gay marriage, as long as the couple is happy and they love each other. That's all that matters. And I'm happy to say that it is legal here. :)

• What is something you wish society could understand about LGBT?

We have made great advancements. All I can say for society is that they should understand that media doesn't write cardinal laws penned by God; it's made to sell stories and used by some rich, powerful and often unsavoury folks for their own gain. They just need to look past the stigma generated, not just towards LGBT, but to all groups of all kinds.

• Do you believe that homosexuality is caused by genetics or environmental factors?

I think that in some ways we all have tendencies towards either side of the spectrum (there wouldn't be a spectrum if we didn't, LGBT in itself proves that), even in fantasies. But I wouldn't say homosexuality is caused by anything, as this may be construed as LGBT being a disease or some sort. Your position on the spectrum is fixed or influenced to some extent.
