Most people get bullied, even the bullies (which is usually why they bully others).
I think everyone should just be allowed to live their lives the way they want, so long as their actions don't infringe on the lives of others.
The term bullying gets thrown around too much these days though. If someone has a different viewpoint, they get accused of bullying for expressing it.
I'm all for equality, but it seems these days, equality isn't good enough for certain people. They want special rights and special laws that only benefit them.
I think everyone has the right to live their life as they want to, but I also think everyone has the right to express their own beliefs, even if it isn't the same beliefs as others.
Forcing language laws on people is ridiculous, and doesn't help anything. It simply creates animosity.
When Jordan Peterson spoke out against bill c-16, he was treated as though he was trying to bully transgender people, and was called all kinds of vile things. He has no issue addressing people by their preferred pronouns. What he is opposed to is being forced to, under the threat and penalty of the law.
People take it too far sometimes as well, and they use narrative that it is a "hate crime" as a justification of their own violent actions in response. Take "Super Ma'am" for example (if you don't know who I'm referring to, I'll link you the video). There was no reason for that outburst. A calm and rational explanation to the other people would have sufficed.
When I was little kid, I got misgendered. My mom took me across the street to the hairdresser one day, because it was a lot closer than the barber's. The lady thought I was a girl, and gave me a girl's haircut. It was only after she said "She looks really pretty with that haircut" that I realized. I explained that I was a boy, she apologized, and gave me a boy's haircut.
That's how things should work. People shouldn't be arrested for it.
I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great!
