I didn't use the word "attack" based on your first comment there as you suggest
Again, it's not because you used the word "attack" (even though I haven't attacked anyone), it's because you claim I was attacking "everything anyone seems to post", when in reality, I only responded to ONE post before YOU confronted ME. How is that attacking "everything anyone seems to post"? It's not, it's an outright lie. No matter how you try and manipulate it, everyone can see that it's an outright lie simply by reading the thread. I wasn't attacking anyone. YOU literally confronted ME. And because I didn't simply agree with your statements, YOU attacked ME.

It was used after you made several, and only after you started mentioning Jagex's T&Cs
Dude, follow the conversation.

You stated "In any case... instead of taking it so seriously, take it for what it is. Some potential funny beef between Musk and a company" which, if you read the T&C, there is no exception to the "must be accurate and posted in good faith" rule for "potential funny beef". Just because you think something is "funny" doesn't mean that the T&C no longer applies.

You've been active again not even a week and you're butting heads with several people in argumentative and confrontational ways which.
Why are you lying again?

Other than YOU, I only interacted with ONE other person on the Elon thread. And on the other political thread, other than YOU, I only interacted with TWO other people.

Joel said :
If you're unable to have civilized and non-confrontational conversation
YOU confronted ME on BOTH threads. You straight up posted lies about me on BOTH threads. And now you're claiming that I'm at fault for being "confrontational", when you confronted me.

Just stop lying already.

The hot topic from Blighty today seems to be potholes in the road. One local Council closed a road because it has a zonking great hole in it (like most British roads now) and, after several weeks, some enterprising soul filled it in themselves and removed the "Road Closed" signs so cars started using it again.

Utterly outraged at this act of common sense, the Council re-closed the road as the hole was repaired without their consent. They intend - at some unspecified future date - to remove the repairs, then repair it again themselves. Seems legit.

It's a slow day in the British Press today.

I never remember it being so bad before I moved away but now it seems to be a common thing :(

Was it last year that Rod Stewart was in the news for filling potholes himself in his local area because he was sick of waiting for the council to do it? lol

I see friends and people from my home town complaining about local town issues all the time, potholes included, garbage collection etc

I was back in April for a visit, and between 12am and 5am they turn all street lighting off except for any street lights that sit at an intersection. Made for a very interesting walk home from the pub one night!

Enjoy Leeds, avoid the potholes! Unless it's cobblestone, that seems to last a lifetime vs tarmac!

I'm going on a Segway tour of Leeds Castle tomorrow. Not in it, obviously, but the grounds and countryside around it. Hopefully I won't fall off.

Segways look like a lot of fun. :) You are braver than I am. I feel sure I'd fall off because as a child I would fall over on things like roller skates. Even going high on a swing would make me feel dizzy. I eventually managed to ride a bicycle despite my balance not being very good :P

How's your experience been with Canadian potholes so far?

Some of the roads around here are great. Other roads are like riding a horse, they're so bumpy and uneven.

It seems weird that roads that are hundreds of years old are in so much better shape.... and yet, they still chose asphalt over cobblestone for some reason.

Now you're just teasing us because I know no one will be uploading a video of you attempting a Segway.

So I'll just have to console myself with some Segway Fail compilations.

Ontario on the whole (at least where I've driven which is mostly southern) is pretty good. Although City of Toronto roads can be extremely uneven lol, not necessarily potholes but just where parts of the ground under the road sink etc.

Quebec on the other hand... I've driven to Quebec a bunch, Montreal, Mont-Tremblant and various other remote-ish areas when I've booked cottages to stay at. Roads there are terrible. I put that down to harsher winters and more extreme temperature swings vs southern Ontario.

This past winter on the way back from snowboarding I actually hit a pothole coming out of a Tims (literally 2kph as I was pulling out of the parking lot) and it broke off my mud flap lol.

I guess cobblestones from a road-laying perspective isn't the most cost or time effective vs tarmac. I just think we need better tarmac technology :P

I'm in a "extreme temperature swing" region of Ontario. I see people saying that's the reason that roads get bad, but, I don't see it happening to all the roads, just some roads. Some roads around here are always bad, even when they repave them, they're bad a few years later, while other roads haven't been repaved in decades and decades, but are still in perfect condition. I feel like the older roads were better constructed, with a better foundation, and the newer roads that always seem to be bad are just cheap quick jobs that look nice at the start, but just turn horrible really quickly.

Ouch! There was a huge pothole at the gas station up the road from here, and I felt so bad for everyone who hit it turning into the gas station. I felt like people were going to break their axel on it. And the worst part was that it was filled with water, so no one could really see it well, or judge how deep actually was.

It wasn't this deep tho:

Have you seen some of the stone laying machinery they have now? They're pretty impressive:

Yeah, I totally agree. I feel like they should be using all the old tires to make new roads.

Woah, that stone laying machine looks impressive! Must be oddly satisfying to see it in action :)

Surely it saves lotsa time and effort. Kudos for the people who came up with that idea.

The moment I wrote that cobblestone isn't cost or time effective vs tarmac, I think I had that very machine in mind haha.

Yeah maybe its local councils using cheaper materials on some roads. I see they use that sealant type stuff to fill in cracks a lot of times too.

Each time I drive to Quebec, I instantly notice the difference as I cross the border lol.
