so... does any1 think the pokemon show ''counts'' as an anime, I personally don't care for it, but some may argue that it is or isn't, any1 want to shed some light?

But I wasn't trolling.

Soul Eater sucks because it's nothing that hasn't been done before. The whole concept is ripped off from Bleach with a touch of Naruto, you know it's bad when you rip those two off. All the characters are overdone tropes and generally annoying as hell, as like in every other battle shounen (nothing original). Not to mention, the end. Oh boy... that end. I'm not going to spoil it but let just say it was an anime original end, which was completely awful. It's no exaggeration when I say it was one of the worst endings I've ever seen. Sorry I can't go deeper into specifics, since it's been quite a long time since I've watched it and I don't remember it in great detail.

Luckily I watched it when I was new to anime and back then I could watch anything start to finish regardless of how bad it was. If I were to attempt to watch Soul Eater now, I'd probably drop it within 5 episodes.

Look, I'm new to anime too, and what you said is telling me the foreshadows are true, if it is, I'm probably gonna watch vegetales until I get driven insane.

NO ONE SAY THE ENDING PLEASE, If I like the ending, then it's a good way to wrap up the anime, if not, it's vegetales time...


I think I'll watch baka to test next or something, I don't care for endless animes where I have to watch thousands of episodes to get to the current story, (I'm looking at you naruto) maybe death note won't be bad either...

I saw a few episodes of Soul Eater at a friends place at one point, liked it well enough for what its worth. That's more than I can say for most shonen, which either bore me into a state approaching rigor mortis (Bleach) or drive me to homicidal rage (Naruto).

just wait til you see how they decided to end the manga O_o
But just because it's unoriginal, doesn't mean that it's bad. When everyone is striving for originality sometimes it's refreshing to see someone go as generic as possible.

It's my duty. I try to enlighten these plebeians with my knowledge and divine taste, but most of the time it's to no avail. It's sad... really, so very sad indeed.

Also, was flicking through your MAL list the other day, got down to your drops and saw that you had Girls und Panzer on there. I thought that was one of them more awesome, not part of an already established franchise shows from the last couple of seasons, whats up with that?




Speaking of pretentiousness and existentialism, I need more Monogatari. One episode a week just isn't enooooough.
