"You've had to have seen Code Geass right? Well read this, I think it sums it up perfectly:"
No.
""Imagine Code Geass without "magical eyes", mechs, ideas like "the one who yells louder wins", immortal women and stupid idealism (hi Suzaku). You with me so far? Now, imagine Code Geass where there are dozens of great commanders like Lelouch on both sides, where political intrigues, plots and schemes are far from uncommon. Imagine battles of epic proportions and war on the galactic scale, where winning side is decided only by commanders intelligence, number of troops, their morale and available resources, not superunits like Lancelot. Do this and you've invented LoGH."
Can't picture it, because I haven't seen Code Geass. I might give LoGH a try sooner or later.
I really need to watch Code Geass...
Uh. Ever heard of Monster?

Code Geass is immensely popular so I just figured you'd have seen it. Well... Damn.
And yes, I watched the first 20 episodes of Monster about a year ago, but I kind of forgot about it. I still have it sitting on my hard drive... I plan to watch it sooner or later.

'Black Butler isn't a very popular anime'
It is among Yaoi fangirls :P . I've seen a little bit of it, got the first episode on a tester disk that Madman was handing out to people who came to their panel at Supanova last year. I wouldn't say that it was 'bad' but it didn't really strike me as being very good or very interesting either, so I didn't have the inclination to see any more of it.

Hey everyone. I have a quick question about Clannad: After Story.
****SPOILER ALERT****
I finished watching it yesterday and never really fully understood the ending. After the part where Ushio and Tomoya died together, it showed that Nigesa was standing in front of the high school and then Tomoya had the dream again with the robot and the girl who actually turned out to be Tomoya and Ushio! He realized that he shouldn't regret the time he spent with Negisa and he ran to her and hugged her. Negisa said she was worried that Tomoya wouldn't talk to her and hoped that they never met each other. Then she said Tomoya was the best thing that ever happened to her. After that, they showed a happy ending where Negisa didn't die after she gave birth to Ushio.
So my question is, did Negisa, Tomoya, and Ushio really die?
It's a great anime, don't get me wrong, but the ending puzzled me.

^ Very simple
~~~~~~Spoiler~~~~~~~
You know those orbs of light you get when you do good deeds? Well, Tomoya collected enough of them to make a wish. He wished to start over at the point when Nagisa gave birth and have her live this time. *also to get rid of the disease she and Ushio had*? Not sure about this part since it's been a while since I watched it.
Of course when I first watched Elfen Lied I thought it was the best thing ever. That's because it was one of the first anime that I watched. Looking back on it... It's actually a rather mediocre story with unlikable characters. It just gets so much attention because it really pushes the limits with gore.
NGE was like a first of its kind. It revolutionized the mech genre and was a great success. Still, nearly 17 years after it's first episode aired it's widely talked about and considered one the greatest sci-fi anime of all time. Many people like to complain about how whiny the cast is, but it really has some of the greatest characters of all time. Asuka is one the original tsunderes. Rei is the original kuudere (cold, not showing much emotion).
For you to fully appreciate Shinji for the character that he is, you have to understand his situation. Many shows have the whiny main character and they keep bitching for nor reason. Well Shinji is a bit different... 14 years old, dead mother, father abandoned him when he was young, emotional problems all through his life. Then one day his father calls him up out the blue and he's supposed to pilot this huge unstable biomech to save the world against these immensely powerful mysterious beings. They guilt trip him in to doing it because if he doesn't the half-dead Rei will have to. The series continues with him going back and forth, his mental state degrading over time along with Asuka, who has mental problems of her own. But, whenever in times of crisis Shinji always shows up and solves the problem. No matter how much he just wants to run away, he does what needs to be done. That's what makes him actually courageous and a true man. The whole cast are some of the most believable, realistic characters in my eyes.
