Yay! Just received my copy of the 1st special edition BD of Madoka Magica in the mail. I cant understand a word it says but it was such a good series i couldn't take the risk that nobody was gonna license it. I figure i can probally find a way to play it with a separate sub file. One down, 5 (and approximately $400) to go :P
Now i just have one problem, i need to figure out where im meant to send the disk back to. Aniplex recalled them on the second day of sales becasue of a fault in the dialogue and the song wording the mini artbook that came with it.
Supposedly its on their website, but since i cant read japanese i cant find it :P

@Jesse: I'm afraid I can't give you any direct links, but you can find a link to that page on ANN.
I'm having Chrome translate every Japanese page automatically.
You're right about the pacing in Shiki, it's a bit slow. But it starts as a mystery show, so you can't expect much action to happen. However the pacing picks up in the second half of the show. I'm just saying: the villagers will eventually get their payback. :P What's interesting is that the line between good and evil is also getting thinner during that time. But I'm not saying more or I'll spoil too much.
@Sir Nukes: Did you know that in Japanese they're actually saying it's over 8000? :P The change was made in the dub because the 9000 fit the mouth movements of the animation better.

Well, i hope your translation is better than the one afforded me by yahoo.
From what i can understand through the badly garbled translation, it says to send the booklet and the disk to the address stated on the site along with a note which has on it my address, phone number, name and postal code.
The address gets pretty mangled by the translator, so i guess ill just copy-paste it and make a label.
One bit i cant figure out is this: 'That in memo and simultaneous it states at cash on arrival sending to the below-mentioned address, we ask. '

As for Shiki, is there actually still a mystery to solve in it? One of the major reasons i didn't care much for the series was becasue its so simple to solve the 'who(what)dunnit' early. After that, there wasn't really anything left to think about.

People say DBZ is so good because a mass majority of people watched it on Toonami when they were kids. Combine that with childhood nostalgia, then of course they'll say it was good. Just to point out, DBZ was clogged with fillers throughout it's airing (screaming for several episodes, staring contests, etc...).
Also, I should also mention that I'm not saying DBZ is good, because in my opinion, it's pretty overrated. It stopped becoming anything decent other than the same format of new villain is X times stronger -> train -> beat villain. Not to mention it went ridiculous with it's power levels.
I will, however, say that Dragonball was good. As in when Goku was a kid and it was mostly focusing on finding those mystic balls that lets you grant a wish, before everybody and their mothers could fly, before they entered power level territory, and before everyone were blasting energy balls all over the place.

So far ive watched Sekirei (which is ongoing), Peach Girl (awesome), Inuyasha (amazing), Special A (alright), Bleach (ongoing), Clannad (cute), Chobits (also cute). I was wondering if anyone else watched/watches any of these and if you can tell me any good anime that I can watch?

Hi guys, can anyone suggest anymore animes to watch which have a detective sort of theme behind it, like a whodunit, whydunit and howdunit sorta them?
Please?
Already told to watch Shiki, when I can get around to it, I will try it but would like a wider variety. :)
Series watched so far;
Death Note
When They Cry
When Seagulls Cry
