I tend to call anime with over 26 episodes long... Most anime are shorter than that (or have a second season also less or equal to 26 episodes).
I finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann yesterday. I loved it up to episode 15. The second story arc was interesting, but not as good as the first. Normally I don't like mecha anime, but this one had a good story.
Talking about creepy stories, I started reading the Shiki manga. I saw the anime last year when it aired, but I thought the story was interesting enough to follow it again.
Edit: Wow, Nichijou ep. 9 was so funny. Great way to start the day. ^_^

Omg! For the first time, I went to Anime North yesterday. It was a lot of fun! Lots of people cosplaying and taking picture there. Some people in cosplay don't mind having there picture taken.
They sure do sell a lot of Anime stuff there in the dealers room. I bought One Piece Manga volume 51-56, an Dragon Ball Z poster and season 1 dvd of Sekirei.
It was all thanks to my friend who bought me there and show me around. Can't wait to go next year again! :)
By the way, Sekirei is an great action series. Already read some of the Manga and I'm loving the story.

P.S. One Piece has finally reach the 500th episode milestone! Now I like to see the manga and episodes go over 1000 before it ends.
:D

@ Dynamik i recommend you to watch Shiki, awesome story, awesome plot and a really good build of tension. Intresting subjects, epic gore and it would fit in the mistery kind of series you are looking for. It has 22 chapters. Loved it.

If you don't like Aria don't watch it and don't sub it those guys are wasting everyones time.
About YuYu Hakusho, idk if it is a combination with inuyasha...only dog there would be kurama and he's a fox not even a dog, but what i know is that it was one of the 1st animes i ever saw and one, if not the, best i have ever seen.

Yup, I recommend Shiki as well if you're into horror/mystery anime. The story is about a small town in rural Japan named Sotoba, where a series of bizarre deaths occur, coinciding with the arrival of the Kirishi*i (* = k) family who has just moved into a castle built on the outskirts. Toshio Ozaki, dean of the only hospital in Sotoba, begins to investigate and discovers this is not an epidemic, but there are supernatural presences at work.
I read the first 38 chapters of the manga today. Unfortunately it isn't finished yet, if you compare it to the anime the story is around episode 21.

why does everyone say that dbz is so good? i've only seen a few clips and i think it's mediocre
~~~~reasons~~~~
1) Story that is VERY slow at progressing. One example had the planet blowing up. They had about 4 minutes to get off it or they'd all die, however it didn't blow up until about 10-15 30 minute episodes later.
2) Story about a bunch of "heros" that try to save the world but fail spectacularily and must watch the world get blown up. Then they just make a wish for the world to be restored and then they have "saved the world."
3)A story with a plot that doesn't go much beyond "the most powerful warrior in the universe" trying to destroy the universe only to be defeated. Then some guy that is stronger and also impossible to beat shows up and is beaten. Repeat this proccess and you have Dragonball Z.
4) Show about Dragonballs, not sure what the "z" is for.
5) Anime in which a bunch of guys fight, valiantly die, and then come back to life so they can die again when the next invincible guy comes
(yeah they're from urban dictionary and i agree with all of them)
