In the supermarket this morning it is near empty except for toilet rolls. We only have 3 day lockdown and everyone took near all the meat, tins, good quality flour, cheap rice, I had to buy expensive rice. It's amazing how people just go crazy.
^ thankfully I have a couple of disposable masks. When I went shopping this morning I was one of a few without one I was waiting for a negative comment and none came
A man lost control of car in Auckland and plowed into a couple of people sitting on a bench who now have serious injuries and are in hospital. The man who caused accident is in custody. Social media don't care that the man caused a horrific accident, social media are blaming the people for sitting on a bench outdoors while they are suppose to be in lockdown
In the same social media thread, I mentioned that I will still be going out for a walk with my boys twice a day as we are still allowed to get exercise. I was called a Karen twice by this dude who also called me a Karen as I will most probably call the cops
Not sure how accurate this is as I couldn't find any other news articles on it:

New Zealand is now up to 7 cases, we are expecting close to 200. So fast and strong I believe is the right thing to do. It's worked for us in the past; we've knocked Covid on it's backside in the past, with the Delta variant though it may be a bit tougher. The 7 confirmed cases are young 20 something year olds.

Wearing of masks is now mandatory when ever going to the supermarket or chemist etc in NZ
When it comes to masks if I have to wear them, I got and wear the ones that have real silver, and copper in them. They look like the disposable masks, but they can be washed.
