I recently made a pattern from a mask that fits me very well and I'm making some multi layered masks. So far I've made 2 in white, the outer layer has a white embroidered design and the inner is plain. I will probably wear them at my son's wedding. Both fabrics are fairly tightly woven, an open weave isn't suitable for a mask. I wash new fabric first before cutting out the mask shape because it might shrink and it would make a difference in such a small item.
I ran out of elastic for the ear loops but I'll make more masks once I've been shopping.

Frustratingly right now, the UK has opened its doors to US and EU citizens who are fully vaccinated with no quarantine requirement, yet myself as a British citizen living in Canada, fully vaccinated here, cannot return home yet without quarantine...

The wait continues lol

^I believe the reports are sensationalized and most if not all Aussies have been cleared to continue in the Olympics.

I think an Aussie competitor came into close contact with a pole vaulter who tested positive for Covid..
