isn't there a birb thread
This is a very old thread. It goes all the way back to November 2012.

We should start planning a 5th anniversary event for the thread.

Time flies

Nothing much to tell but there has been a big influx of Hawfinches and it is a bird I'd like to see hopefully there is a regular sighting locally I can go to.

Naming and shaming. well at least you agree it is shameful that fmods go inactive for prolonged periods of time

As a finish to this I'll post on the FMR for clarification, but I doubt it will benefit you in the end as you'll have probably gone inactive again by the time I've received a response.

We have a family of wild turkeys similar to these down near the lake.

Only 3 days until the 5rh anniversary of this thread. Are we going to celebrate?

Woot!!! First post on the 5th anniversary of the bird watching thread.

I did not take this picture, but it is one half of a pair that has a nest within three miles of my house.

Our local birds have not been overly keen on the addition of our wolf-chasing, bundle of fur to the family and have been giving us a bit of a wide berth for the moment. No recent sightings of our red squirrel either :(

Hopefully the coming winter weather will encourage them back to the garden for feeding.

There's an Owl who lives in the tree outside my flat.

It likes to fly into branches, attack them with its wings and hoot loudly and sounds rather indignant while doing it at the later hours of night, early hours of the morning.

I do not like this owl much.
