Not patient really, more luck that it had only just killed it so when I first disturbed it by the time I'd gone for my camera it had returned. Sparrowhawks usually return to their kills if they can't fly with them.

Seen Buzzard and Kestrel today and a Sparrowhawk yesterday.

Swallows are still here and getting ready to leave the Swifts in the area appear to have left already. Summer is over :(

Funny. I used to watch pigeons outside the ledge of my 40th apartment window. Would they eat dirt or do their daily business..

Saw a Peregrine when traveling on the M1 last Sunday. Few buzzards and Kestrel too.

Going to be starting to put more food out now we're coming into Autumn.

Saw a Weasel/Stoat at the weekend running across the road near to where I've seen them before.

Also moved a hedgehog out of the junction round there earlier on in the year too only one I've seen this year, but nice to know they're still in the area.

Unknown group of birds heard this evening while walking the dogs. Listening to possible birds I'm leaning towards Crossbill as it is the only one in any way similar to what I heard (as far as I can remember anyway). It is a few years since I last saw/heard one and that was over at Martin Mere a Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust site in Lancashire.

Hopefully will hear/see them again to confirm.
