Once my sister found an injured bird caught in a mousetrap, outdoors. she took it inside to see how it was hurt. it became really freaked out, and hid underneath the couch. it took us a while to get it out, and taken care of. its neat how animals can adapt to be around humans.
A few Jays knocking about this morning lovely birds. Been an influx of them this year, chances are if you watch 'em potter about they'll get an acorn and bury it, which is quite funny when they are rolling them around in there beak.

I remember one time when we were fishing and we saw this bird, I think it was a Hawk, flaying right into the water and catching a fish. It was very impressive
I live in the prairies of Canada so besides the occasional crow, raven, or sparrow(magpie) I cant say I have seen too many as the canadian geese migrate south once the lake froze up the more rarer species of birdies hide in the coniferous pines since its Canada and all i hear is cherp cherp as I walk by a front yard.
Would end terribly for me if i got bombarded by woodpeckers whilst trying to climb a tree just for a snapshot.

@Scarbo Look up Osprey it could have been one of them. During there migration south we occasionally see them fly over. If you are from America it could have been a Bald Eagle also. Those are the two that spring to mind anyway.
Went looking for Waxwings yesterday found a flock of around 100. They love berries and usually go to large supermarket car parks that have trees dotted around them (or places similar). The ones I saw were in a TESCO car park.
Look for a bird around blackbird size in trees with others, will have a crest on its head, yellow on its wings and a red blob (hence Waxwing). Can't mistake them really and they are nice.
A few years ago, I found a white peacock chilling in one of my trees. It stayed there in the same spot for a few days. I don't know where peacocks come from, but they definitely are not native to where I am from. Apparently it was the pet of someone in my neighborhood.
